Just wanted to say hi from California!

We are with the Aunt we helped move in August right now so I thought I'd take advantage of the computers.    We've actually seen her everyday since we arrived.   You seldom see any of the elderly people here using the computers so I don't have to feel guilty for taking up time on one.  We have had full days everyday since arriving taking care of "Aunt" business or visiting with family.  It's been in the 50's every day and rained the last two days.  There has been NO SUN!   On Sunday we drove the Aunt from here to San Francisco to see some old friends for lunch.  I'd never been there before so it was interesting, the friends were really nice and took us all to lunch at the country club they belong to.  Now I know how the other half lives.   Well, just wanted to check in and say hi!  Hubby is setting up the new tv we bought the Aunt today, she wanted a bigger one and honestly I can't say I blame her.  The one she had was big enough you could watch it with one eye.

Hi Gwen, Good to hear from you.  It sounds like there is some "fun" involved with this trip as opposed to other trips you have taken to California.  It's been years since I have been to San Francisco; but I always felt it got an unfair wrap due to it's reputation.  There are a million things to see there and the restaurants have the most wonderful fresh crab salads.  Has that all changed since I was there? Well, I just dropped in to wish you and your family a very "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy New Year"; inasmuch as I did not do so before you left.   Hope to see you at coffee in 2008!!! No rain today but no sun either.  Had to stop by Auntie's place again to take care of some paperwork.  Seems we are here everyday for something or another.  Right now hubby is with her and I am checking her mail and sneaking in on a computer.  It's been a very busy trip but until all is settled with the Aunt on all fronts that's the way it will be.  Looks like her condo may sell while we're here so that will be one less thing we have to deal with in the future if all goes right.    As of today it looks like we won't be making the long drive down to see the rest of the relatives after all.  This room is full of serious senior card players, man don't mess with them!  Take care everyone and thanks for the responses.

We had sun yesterday and today, but now I have a headache, sore throat and runny nose.  We come home tomorrow, hope the flights are good!
