Body Changes - extention of Marsha's (daycare mom 101) post.

Like Marsha, my butt hurts.  It's gotten better but still can be a slight issue. Another thing I have noticed is my walk.  I feel like I have to be more conscious in my walking.  If not, I feel like I am almost walking bow legged.  Sometimes my hips hurt.  Am I making sense?  Anyone else have this issue?

I carry/carried most of my weight in my abdomen so it's not like my legs have gotten that much smaller. I've started running and I don't have an issue with my hips at all when I run but when I walk I it can be a different story. Please, someone just tell me they are having the same thing so I don't feel like I'm alone.

I've noticed some of those issues too and the easiest way to explain it is that we are still trying to walk like an obese person and normal weight ppl walk a little differently? God I hope that makes sense.... I don't know how else to explain it.

I have made a WHOLE DIFFERENT KIND of observation - kinda related to having less blubber on the legs and movement and all, but not at all appropriate to discuss here.  Yeah, I know, even for Darla. Catch me this weekend.  I'd love to know if others are having my same issue.

Our center of gravity changes as well - we have less weight on our joints - we are using different muscles - have less padding - our spine readjusts - who thought losing weight was going to cause this? LOL  Its all temporary - I remember these phases too!  I use to sit on a neck pillow which helped my tailbone.

I am really grateful for these posts.  I too am having alot of pain in my tailbone.  I can actually feel my tailbone!!  It's very strange.  I will have to get a neck pillow to sit on.  That's a good idea.  I sit all day at my computer and getting up really hurts.  I have had other pains in my body but that is  the worse one.  It's good to know I'm not alone out there. After reading this post yesterday at work I realized that my butt started to feel numb if that makes any sense.?   Also my hips hurt off and on too.  What Lisa B said makes sense.  We need to learn how to walk like the "normies."   We'll have to chat this weekend and compare. See you Saturday! Colleen
