Last summer I had an aleric reaction to medication. My face ,hands feet, tounge and throat swelled up. My hubby had to call 911 because I was having problems breathing. All I could do was try to stay calm and  think if I pass out the fire department is 2-3 mins away and they can get here in time. They had me drink benadryle  that I had at home instead of them getting me on an iv. 10 mins later I was great!!!  I still went in to the hospital. The advice he passed to me was keep liguids or the strips with you at all times. The stips are great cuz they don't freeze when they are stored in your car. This could save a life. Then 2 months later my son had a anaphalactic reaction. Thank god I had my reaction because it made us  notice his faster and we got him in to the hospital right away. I have had many  reactions since that last time and  just wanted to pass on info that really has saved me and my son.  Plus benadry is soooooo much better than having to use those epi pens ( they hurt) Hope this helps someone in the future.  Take care everyone  lol JILL
