What a gift.....
I second what Pammy-bo-bammy said - like it or not, take pictures NOW. Even if you hide 'em under your mattress. Then, take more every month. Because a few months after surgery, when the mirror lies to you and tells you you're no different than you were before surgery, your pictures will be honest with you. Holding that before photo next to the monthly photos, you WILL see the change. Sometimes that's the ONLY place you will be able to see the shrinkage!
I'm darn near a year out, about 135 pounds less than I was a year ago, and sometimes I STILL don't see the change unless it's in a photograph. Last week I took a couple of days off with my kids, and we went to the Mall of America. We had our picture taken on our way in to Underwater Adventures, and when I saw that picture? I froze. That could NOT be what I look like to the rest of the free world. I looked - well, nearly NORMAL!!! I mean, I still have a ways to go, but DANG! Was that REALLY ME??? I had to buy the picture. I HATE buying those darn pictures - pretty soon, they'll have one of those $)@&%^!'n photographers posted in the bathrooms!! But I HAD to buy that one.

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
