Well last night was busy with 4-h, training horses etc...so dear hubby went to Taco Johns and I ordered a grilled chicken burrito.   He gets home and I take the filling out of the tortilla and put on a plate. Chicken seemed to be very dry, but I didnt think to much of it....well I must not of chewed well enough or something, because it got stuck.  HURT..Ouch!!!  I ended up getting sick   and just felt horrible all night.  I will never eat a grilled chicken burrito again....sick to my stomach just thinking of it. Since surgery I have only gotten sick once before last night...and that was from eating honey dew melon, (I didnt know that melon was high in sugar...dumb me!!) I HATE to get sick, so if I get sick off of something once, I will NEVER try it again, thats for sure!!! I am still learning, but things seem to be going pretty good I guess since I have only gotten sick a couple of times...right?!!?? Talk to you all soon ~Jodi~

Hi Jodi....sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well. Glad it is better now. I got something stuck for the first time Saturday...I got rid of it and didn't eat anymore. What an awful feeling!! I thought I had chewed it well........guess not. Hugs, connie d

No FUN!!  It's such a day by day thing also dear so don't give up totally because of one sickness(unless it's the high sugar sickness)........over the weekend I got sick over something that I never have (meatloaf).  Sometimes our anxiety, nerves or whatnot will cause our throat to swell and things get stuck.  Hang in there!  HUGS!

Glad to hear you are feeling better.  Unfortunately I know from experience how bad it is, too.  Like you never eating a chicken burrito again, I have said good bye to steak forever.   The good things (if there is a good thing) about this happening is it reminds you to be mindfull while eating.   After all, its the painful lessons we learn the most from. Hang in there. Amy

Been there too many times.   I have learned that I can't eat ham in any form anymore.   I have learned that if I can't focus on eating, I shouldn't put anything that requires chewing in my mouth.   I have learned that chicken breasts no longer work for me, but thighs and legs do.   I have learned that scrambled eggs are drier than you might think.   And I have learned to recognize the signs if something isn't going to pass through.  My kids do too - they can tell by the look on my face if I'll be excusing myself from the table to go get rid of something.  Not that it happens often, but maybe once a month?  ugh....
