Lap Band surgery schedule question Duluth, MN
Every surgeon's office is different I think. At my clinic, they called me to tell me I was approved and scheduled me to meet with the surgeon about 2 weeks later and it was at my appointment with my surgeon that we looked at his calendar and I selected a date....my surgery was about 3 1/2 weeks after I met with my surgeon.

Like Michele said each office is different. I would call them (if you are approved) and just ask when you can schedule (if I'm not mistaken he is the only surgeon at that hospital).

Dr Medlin is the only surgeon working there right now . I had to wait 2 months after I was approved. Brea, another girl here waited about the same. She had the lapband too. From what I have heard its still about the same time length now. But when I did get my date it was only about 3 weeks out. So at least you wont have to wait that long after you get your date. I just love Dr Medlin! He is so nice. Like a big teddy bear! LOL! Good luck with your surgery and let us know when you get your date!

Every clinic is different, but as soon as I got approved at Park Nicollet, I was scheduled to meet the doctor and the scheduler. That was about a week out. Then, on April 14th, they scheduled my surgery -- which will be May 13th.

as of last week friday when i checked with barbara his new scheduler.. she was just getting his summer schedule up and from what i hear it's around an 8 or so week wait. she told me to call back next week fri to see what she has gotten done. give her a call next week and just touch base.. i am sure in the next week or so she will be able to give you a better idea. good luck!
