Well, I'll certainly be there for you when you decide to do it - I'm really trying hard not to snack on anything at all - for me it's kind of all or nothing - so I want to try and eliminate any snacking and only eat during meals - although then I know that having a healthy snack can keep your metabolism going too - so I'll have to try and figure this out so it works for me.
Anyway, thanks so much for the support!
Hang in there Tracy, you CAN do it! Remember what we tell everyone doing the LD before surgery.....the first three days are the hardest after that not so bad. So you are almost half way to the three day mark. One thing that helped me during the LD when I wanted something salty was straining chicken noodle soup and just drinking the broth, much better than plain old broth.
Hang in thre girlie :)

Thanks girlie! You're right, the first 3 days are the worst - I CAN DO THIS!!! I BELIEVE I CAN DO THIS!! 3 days - that's all! Right? Thanks honey!
What about those crystal lite slushies that Sandie toldus about? I've been doing those in the evenings to keep myself from wanting a snack.... seems to help. Good luck honey
I BELIEVE in YOU!!!!!

Thanks for the reminder - I've been meaning to try that - I just have to pick up some "good" ice - I hate the ice I make - I'm such a water snob!!!
Thanks for your support Lisa!

You can do it - you just have to give yourself some time to absorb the idea of doing it again - I've been wanting to do this for weeks and now it just feels good. The stupid part about eating all the crap is that I know it is directly responsible for my moodiness and my additional stress. I'm stressed so I eat, I'm guilty and mored stressed about eating crap so I eat more.
I'm actually reading this book that a co-worker recommended. It's called Eating in the Light of the Moon. It's about realizing why we fill ourselves with food. Her premise is that it's not related to traumatic events in our life, but rather from a long process of being stifled. Essentially each of us has this gift to see what others can't and that when we share our insights others don't want to hear what we have to say so in order for us to feel accepted we begin to fill our selves with food and having food issues is much more accepted than sharing our not so popular insights so we continue to eat. I've only read a few chapters, and I'm not 100% sold on the concept yet, but it has been quite revealing so far - and since I'm not one of those people that has a life-changing event in my life I believe that this concept really could be true. FYI - the author is the co-founder of an eating disorder clinic - so she does have some experience to back her up.
Anyway, just thought I would share about that. AND BTW - I can't wait to go camping with ya'll in July - YEAH!!!

I have been allowing me up to three of those a day. So far I've had 2 today! BTW - the raspberry Viactiv are the BOMB!!! Thanks to Edi on that one! They definitely help with the need to chew.
