Thyroid issues?

First off, I have a doc appointment tomorrow as this isn't an ASAP situation. Second, I know ya'll aren't MD certified but I just want some thoughts to see if any one else out there has dealt with this:

Last Sept. my BP drop VERY low (70's/40's), was in and out of the ER and Hospital. SEVERAL tests. One was my thyroid and I have 7 cysts. Ok, so that had to be put on the back burner until my BP returned to norm...now it is. NOW, I am having what I believe hormonal issues and "think" it may be from the thyroid. SO, tomorrow I am in search with my Doc to see. My history of thyroid is that 5 years ago I just had one that they are keeping an eye on. But then last fall it shows 7, one of "considerable" size.

So, anyone else with thyroid cysts? If ya don't want to publisize your story would you PM me? Did this cause emotional imbalance from time to time? I am going to WebMD/Google it also, but I wanted to see if "real" peeps that I trust had any insight!

Sandie, I have a low active Thyroid (Hypothyroidism) but I have no cysts that I'm aware of. I just get real tired and gain weight when the medicine isn't working good enough and then they have to up it. Do you take a thyroid pill? The only time I'm emotional is at my period, no relation to my thyroid. Hope someone else can help you out.......

I just went on www.webmd.com and typed in thyroid cysts. There is alot of onfo on cysts. Kelly

Hello, Dahling! Thyroid problems seem to be so common! I'm on Synthroid for hypothyroidism and have been for several years, although the dosage did have to be adjusted after GBS. I'm still looking for the reason and cure for bad memory!

Was so hoping fixing the thyroid problem would improve my brain!! I'm glad that they're seriously checking you out. Cysts can turn cancerous, but caught early they are really treatable. (Hope that doesn't scare you!

) I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Let us know what transpires. And yup--wonky thyroid can wreak havoc on your emotions! LOVE YOU! (((HUGS))) and
