Very good food thought
I heard a great saying on ABC today..... they were giving tips about eating healthy and one of the tips is to buy local, healthy groceries.
They were talking about how a lot of people think it's too expensive to buy healthy foods.
A farmer who grows local foods said, "Well, you can either pay me now, or you can pay your doctor later."
I loved it. He is right on!!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Minneapolis Farmer's Market! Unfortunately I have to be at the yoga studio by 8 am on Saturday morning so I may forego this weekend. I am hoping to bring my mom some time this summer because she has only been to the one in Menomonie, WI which is only a block long. Let me know if you'd like to go together sometime! Love & Hugs! Elena~I completely agree with the farmer, especially since I am a farm girl myself. Growing up almost all of the veggies came from our garden and meat from our farm or the previous deer season. Now that I live here in the cities I belong to a Co-Op and buy local as much as I can. I have learned that I feel better when I eat less processed foods. Thanks for sharing this!~Nicole
