My family doctor has been telling me since almost Day One that at about the 2-year mark, the body will have compensated for the operation and greater quantities of food will not only be consumed, but absorbed more than previously. That's why it is IMPERITIVE to learn good eating habit early on.
HOWEVER:: malabsorption will still be a major problem with vitamins and minerals.

I didn't post as to alarm anyone, but I believe we all have to be fully aware of our surgery that we have and how to get the best from it. I posted this here because I hadn't heard it before and was wondering what all of you knew about it. I think for some, it may give some answers if they've been struggling. For pre-ops like me, it's one more thing to consider during the surgery choice period.
