Well, can afford? Should have paid the mortgage and bills first after getting paid Friday, but I think it will be fine. These should get her through til summer, I don't think I'll be buying any more for her unless we do pictures again and she needs something more spiffy.

So Michael, do you have a "skinny outfit" already that you can't wait to fit into or something in particular you really want to buy when you get to goal?

Kristy,

I do have this pair of size 38 Ralph Lauren trousers that I bought  a few years ago that I thought were just beautiful.  They are a georgous tan and brown houndstooth pattern.  They are brand new and still have the tags on them.  When I can fit into those, I will definitely do a happy dance.  I would like to ultimately wear a little smaller waist size though.  34 possibly.  I also have a couple of nice cashmere sweaters that I bought in XL a few years ago when I had lost a ton of weight in a low carb diet.  They never really fit that well, but I know that they will in the future.  They are so soft!

I would love to be able to go into stores like Abercrombie and Fitch and buy something.  Actually, to be able to go to a normal store like Macy's and shop, instead of being relegated to JC Penney Big and Tall or Casual Male XL.

How about you?
Michael

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Cashmere sweater! ME TOO!! They definately don't look as good with fat rolls under them. Thats one thing I'd like to buy too. A close fitting, pink, v-neck cashmere sweater like in a size L I'd be good with! My closet is stuffed with things that I bought in the past, hoping to lose weight and get into, but never did. I'm tired of baggy, loose fitting things, that's for sure.

To me and take this for what's worth, it just it really boils down to can you afford to spend $300 on clothes for your child.  Only you can know that truly.  There are some out there that could not, but there are others that could.  I am a huge deals shopper and wouldn't bat an eyelash to drop $300 on clothes if I was getting a lot.  It looks like you got a heck of a lot for your money.

I know that on my journey with weight loss, I do not plan to buy any new clothes as I have clothes from 4x to xl.  I will buy clothes when I have exhausted my stash.  Then I will buy clothes that I truly want.  And THEN, watch out!  LOL
I totally agree Michael....I am going to wear all the clothes that I have ( have about 4 sizes smaller right now) and when I get to my goal. I will get all my girlfriends ready...and they will carry my bags at the mall

That is almost an epidemic!  I love to shop and have a new addiction to coffee since giving up soda.

From soda to coffee, that makes sense. Gotta drink SOMETHING to get liquids in, right?

Hi Kristy.....wow....when you say you went shopping you weren't kidding!!  The clothes are all so sweet!!

Be careful.....those additions can really get out of hand fast. Glad you are going to talk with someone about it.

No...I don't have an addition...not unless journaling is an addition.

Hugs, connie d

Connie- Journaling would be a great habit/addiction to get into. At least it's healthy! I should go shopping to get myself a journal.

For those who need clothes for themselves...don't forget swapkins is coming.  You can "shop" for winter, summer, sizes down in each, in a little over a month.....And it won't cost anything!!!!  Freebie's -- that's an addiction I can handle!!!!

I'm one for spoiling the grandson absolutely wrotten!!!!  But that's my job.....and I work to play.  The hubby pays the bills!!!!  He be the man!!!!
