Why is it getting so quiet in here?

It is WAY too quiet lately. I've been venturing over to the "other side" of the board. Wow, there's quite some characters over there.

Weight loss rewards never work for me since I don't deny myself much of anything, (Hum, and I'm fat WHY????? Dah!) well as long as it doesn't cost too much. I wish I was more of a penny pincher and rewards would have been motivation for me.

Hey Kristy~
I think the 'DH and I are taking a trip to Hawaii when I reach goal' is an awesome motivation!!

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get approved soon!

Thanks Sue. I hope they'll submit soon after I meet w/ the surgeon tomorrow. Oh, and on Hawaii-Not motivation enough apparently, I'm still struggling to get off the TEN measley pounds as required before surgery. That whole nothing tastes as good as thin feels line, I wouldn't know- So my head only thinks in the "nothing tastes as good later as it does right now." URGH! Oh, and I'd gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

You'll be amazed at what your reaction to food will be after the RNY!  Everything changes. And if you KNOW what your triggers are, now is a good time to see a psychologist to talk about them..

I was much like you before surgery--I stuffed myself with almost desperation.  I think back and see how pitiful I was--what a terrible role model I was for my kids!   It's amazing that none of them use food as a crutch in spite of what I modeled for them!

Good luck tomorrow with the surgeon!

BTW--I LOVE your sense of humour!

When I lost 100 lbs I treated myself to a tatoo. Once I hit goal and hold onto it for 6 months I want a tummy tuck and another tatoo! Something to look forward to.

I've noticed that many of the 'regulars' haven't been on so much, and that makes for a quiet board.  ((Thinking of Barb K, YOU--Darla!, LindaAnne, Sandie, Kelly, Kelly, and Kelli, and many others. I'm just in the process of a mind fart, so please forgive me if I neglected to name you!!))

A promise I made myself???   That's UNMENTIONABLE!!  Has to do with a happily married life...and since I'm NOT married, happily or otherwise, that ain't likely!  But if I EVER get a good job and my bills paid off, I'm not only getting a tummy tuck, but also my thighs lipoed and my 'bat flaps' done.  Oh--and also my inside knees need to be lipoed.   Heck--just bury me and give me a NEW body!!  One that has lots of thick hair that actually grows!  (SEE--I'm NOT fussy!)

Maybe I should just buy a paycheck worth of lottery tickets. Same chance of success...
