Minnesota Care acceptance-YAY!

Hello everyone!

I posted a couple months ago that I was trying to get on Minnesota Care and I finally am! What a relief!
Now I am unsure which plan to choose. I live near Albert Lea, MN. I have a local plan that I haven't heard of but also have UCARE and Blue Cross to choose from. The initial information they send doens't list any specialists. Have any of you had good/bad experiences with either plan? I know that I am just in the very beginning stages of this process but I want to make sure I am making the best decisions throughout.

I wasn't aware any MA plans pay for WLS...  but I could definately be wrong.

Maybe I am wrong. I will go back through the posts on here. I thought that when I first got into the group that there was some talk of it.

I also have Minnesota Care.  Minnesota Care and MA are different.  With Minnesota care, you pay a monthly premium.  I have Ucare and love it.  Everything with my surgery was covered, and was fairly easy to get approved.  I think I have heard that Blue Cross is a little harder to get approved? but I may be wrong.  All I know is I love Ucare!    Good luck to you!

Try Ucare Blue Cross Blue Shield will require you to go thru 6months on a dietary program and Ucare only requires you 3 months on a dietary program . Good Luck
