One week Post-Op....
... and boy what a difference a week makes!!! I started turning the corner on Saturday and am finally starting to feel *almost* normal. Well, my new normal any way. I have lost 23 pounds so far (8 lbs lost while on the liquid pre-op diet during my vacation
) and 15 since the day of surgery. I am happy to say I no longer wonder why I voluntarily signed up for this.
The only bad thing is that I had to go back to work today. I am a teacher and I really don't have a choice. I am taking it easy and following the lifting restrictions from my surgeon. I'm also pretty sure I'll be in bed by 8:00 p.m. tonight because I am absolutely beat!
I just wanted to update everyone and thank you all, again, for all of your wonderful words of wisdom and support. I am hoping to make it to one of the coffee gatherings this weeked (though probably not Maple Grove) and am really looking forward to meeting some of you in person!!

I wish you all the luck because you have to do what you have to do. I will have to go back to school 3 weeks after surgery, this gives me the courage to not be afraid of what could happen. I am a rerturning college student who put off starting my classes till Oct. to get my surgery( my life and health back) Stay strong girl
