I was cancelled 48 hours before my Roux en Y because of Crohns disease.  My surgeon has done over 120 surgeries on people with Crohns and he feels the VBG could even help a little with it!!

Medica approved me first try and my new surgery is Nov 17 at United.  I am so excited again!  I have hope again!!!

I know people have a lot of bad to say about VBG but PLEASE please dont burst my bubble.  I do trust and believe my surgeon and I believe, in my heart, this will save my life.

Thanks to all of you that were there to support me in my depression.  I am ready to kick some butt on this!  Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How wonderful for you!!!!  Dont let anyone burst your bubble!!!!  November 17th is just right around the corner... I cant wait till I can say mine is that close....

You might want to check out the surgery types forums if you are looking specifically for VBG.... that would be your best option I think for finding someone who knows more about the surgery....

Good luck with everything and we will be your cheering squad!!

What wonderful news, Cat!

This journey is certainly a roller coaster.... huh? Best of luck on your surgery. This CAN work for you, just get educated on the best way to use your new tool... even if it's not the one you were first expecting.

Take care!

Thank you SO much!!!

Thanks to everyone who has sent me congrats!!

I am very excited!  I am having a fat-clothes festival in my bedroom this weekend.  I am going thru all of my clothes and bags upon bags of clothes that wouldnt even fit in my closet and getting rid of anything in any size over a large.

I am really excited to be able to donate them to the Good Will in my town.  I know that there will be some women who can use them.  I bought a bathing suit in bright turquoise and hung it on my bedroom wall!  Its a one piece but is the sexiest bathing suit EVER!  I will be wearing it next year by gosh!!!

I was told because I will have an "open" surgery, I will have a 8-10" long scar from sternum to pelvis.  I dont care!  I have felt like my whole body has been a scar for me being at my unhealthy weight.

I am SO thrilled!!!!!!
