Trying to get back on track
Hi all-
I hate to ask, but I need a little support........
I've been getting my life in order lately, LONG story.....This past year has been a roller coaster, personal wise.....I'm finally taking care of ME...
Now I need to take it a step further and get back to the basics, I got on the scale and have gained 15 pounds since last December......
Not really a surprise as I have fell way off the program......I plan to start the 5day pouch test today....Getting on that scale this morning scared the heck out of me seeing that number go up again......
I also plan on making myself get on that treadmill twice a day again, I've really slacked on that.....And start lifting weights, my arms aren't as defined as they once were.....
Whatever uplifting comments or butt kickings will be appreciated.......
Thanks for listening, Kelly

Kelly,
I know you can do it. I have seen a remarkable woman out there supporting everyone in their needs including me and you are a person that has will, perseverance, and determination. Your plan sounds like it will work. I have not yet experienced anything you are going through but from what I have read on here, you are not alone!!
I am confident you are on the right path!! I'll keep you in my prayers that you keep that strength inside you to keep on track.
Take care,
Donna

I'm sure you'll be back on track in no time. Admitting you've been slacking is the first step right? I remember when you were doing the treadmill twice a day, you were so dedicated to that. You can do it again! How about you post a daily exercise thread like Elena used to in order to help keep your commitment to moving?
I need to get back on track myself. I'm 7 pounds away from my original goal and want to get there before my 1 year mark next month.
Let us know how the 5dpt goes for you. I really need to get back to focusing on protein and counting those grams and calories. AND I need to get exercising again. You can do it!

Hey Kelly,
I'm finding the hardest part is the maintenance road and we all seem to fall of track from time to time. Acknowledging is part of the battle. I recently started to get myself back on track and maybe this can help you.
I write down absolutely everything I eat, nothing fancy or in depth but just writing it down makes me aware of what I put in my mouth. I also write down all my exercise. I attend a support group on a regular basis and if there was a coffee club near by I would attend it too.
Some ideas that my surgeon gave me was wait longer than 30 minutes after you eat. I was complaining that I was HUNGRY, so he said try to wait 1 hour after you eat, that feeling of being full will stay with you longer. He also told me to only eat with a fork, never with a spoon. Fork food "sticks to your ribs" as opposed to spoon foods which slide right on by.
With all this said you have done an amazing job and I strive to have arms like you. Take it one day at a time and always remember how far you have come. Think of the days where you struggled to exercise, or were out of breath when you did the simplest thing. I'm sure once you get back on that treadmill and look back you will see the major accomplishments that you have made.
Keep up the good work, You can do it.

Alana,
I totally agree, maintenance is the hardest by far......
Thanks for the tip, I will start to write what I eat down, I used to.....I know more goes into my mouth than it should.....I also know I need to work on getting more water in, I've been slacking at that, drinking too much coffee lately......
Thanks for the "arms" comment, they aren't as defined as before, but I'm going to change that.....
I'm so glad I posted....You all are just great....And have given me the extra motivation that I needed....
