Day 3 of liquid diet....
Well... here it is... day 3 of my liquid diet and all I can say is UGH!!!!

I am sticking with this to be best prepared for my surgery and not cheating at all... I found out that toothpaste tastes REALLY good when you are so hungry! it is just soooooo hard to do! The one other thing that keeps me going though is that the scale has dropped 7 pounds since friday morning! Woo Hoo!

Oh well... my surgery is less than 2 weeks away now! (29th) I have an upper GI xray tomorrow morning (no drinking anything until after that) at 10.... hopefully everything looks good for that as I really want the lap band versus RNY.... but whatever will be will be! My presurgical screening is with my PCP on wed.... then I set myself up for a massage 2 days before surgery (as I am sure I will be wound up by that point).... I can't believe how fast everything is happening after I waited so long to get to this point!
Thanks for allowing me to rant!

Keep up the good work. We are in the same boat my surgery is Jan 28th and my hubby can wear the same close since high school and would if i let him. He I am only drinking what ever i can get my hands except alcohol of course he comes home from the bread store with donuts muffins and bagels I almost slapped him...
Yesterday I almost felt full for about 10 min's from some chicken broth. I did put some on of my shakes in the freezer and pretended it was ice cream it didn't taste the best but it was something different. I also had quit smoking for surgery so for me food it on my mind at all times so these i could scream. Today I did exercise for about 45 mins and then swam at the local community center it did keep my mind off things for the day.
well good luck and happy drinking
Hang in there! The prize is so worth it!
Think of the things you can have - i know there are many that will agree that s/f popsicles can be a lifesaver during the liquid diet phase.
Crystal light, broth, jello ....
The first few days of the liquid diet are the worst -- you can do it!
You are taking charge -- YAY YOU!
