here is the latest on me....too!
I guess we really do need to keep that support network alive and well, don't we?
here is the latest on me.
In September I had joined Golds Gym and have actually found a new 'addiction' I am addicted to working out and although I have not seen major results yet, I decided last week to turn it up a notch. By that I mean I have hired a personal trainer and this Thursday I meet with him for the first time. In November I got measured and had lost almost 6 inches in a month and half. but I had not lost any weight. Hadn't gained any either. I am really hoping that on Thursday there is some more inches gone and hopefully some weight loss. But the main thing that I am hoping for is they can show me some of the proper ways to get the most benefits from the exercising I am doing! In all the years I was so heavy, I never really learned good exercising techniques and I really want to learn how to properly do certain exercises to build muscle and maximize my weight loss and toning my muscles.
I made a New Years Resolution that for 2010 will be the year I finally make it to my goal of being as healthy as I can possibly be.
It does get alot harder the further you get out, it really does become more 80% life style and 20% the surgery. Where in the beginning it is more reversed! But we have a tool and it is there for us all to use....
Thanks for listening to me... Time to go to the gym!!!

I agree with you that I need to get back here for support and to give it as well. I miss the great people I had met along the way and would love to re-connect with them again.
It is great that you have decided to make this your year to live more healthy. Good luck! Have fun at the gym and good luck with the personal trainer. Glad to hear that you are doing well.
Yep re-connecting with everyone will be good for all us, I hope... How are you doing?
The one thing thru this whole journey that I have not been consistant with is the exersise! I just wish I had started alot sooner, my results would have been so much different. Oh well, slowly but surely, I am gonna get there...
Hugs....CarolN

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...
Mary,
You look wonderful, keep up the good work mary!!!
Exercise is so important. When I was heavier, I always had an excuse, even when I didn't really have any excuse, does that make since? But now, it is like my major number one thing I am doing just for me!! I just put on my MP3 player and go for it!! I am doing this for me!!
My daughter is my best motivator. She was home at Christmas and went to the gym with me. After my 30 minutes on the treadmill, I was ready to quit and started to get off she said, go another 5, you can do it. I did I pushed myself.
Now when I get ready to quit, I hear her voice, "go alittle bit more, push yourself mom, you can do it.!!! "
Pushing myself has been my hardest thing. I keep saying I am worth it and if I quit I am just quitting on me, and frankly that is just not an option!!!!! LOL
