1st post surgery lap swimming today
I got in the pool today! It was a a very slow, pathetic show of aquatic ability, but I did it!
I'm so used to whipping off a 1/2 mile and this was just plain slow and hard. I did like a 1/3 slow mile and it kicked my butt! But this will come back with time. I've done it before I know I can do it again. It's been 2 months since I've done laps, it felt "right" to be in the water again. I loaded new music into my Swim P3 for inspiration.
Oh! And the best part...... my suit was too big! Good thing I had the foresight to buy a smaller one before surgery! Woo Hoo! I'm done 30 lbs since surgery and 44 overall.
So I thought I'd make a "non whining" post
for once! Hope you've had a great weekend.

I used to go and be in the pool by 520am swum and home about 645am to get my oldest off to 1st grade. That's what I am trying to work back up to. It's hard to get up, but then I'm all done for the day. I don't want to do it before bed, so it's the only time I have. It's really hard when it's so dark and cold! Yuck!
