Surgery Went Well
Here it is, bright and early at Abbott. I simply can not believe how well I feel. My surgery was late morning yesterday. I can't say enough about every single person here. I had a nice chat with the anesthesiologist about nausea and difficulty waking up. By about 5:00 I was feeling pretty darn good. I walked a bit at 10:00. I made a loop around the pod. When we got back to my room the nurse said some people don't even make it ti the door first time out. Dr. Ik was amazing. I have virtually no pain in my abdomen or my little incisions. The only pain I've had is gas. Not the tooting kind - the other stuff.
One of the nurses said they're seeing more and more VSG. I'm sure glad I chose to go that route. Now we'll have to see how I do once I start drinking something. Nothing by mouth yet. I hope it goes well.
