Need surgeon in Mo to do lap band.Please help?

Hi. I`m kim.I`m from IL. and am usually in the lap band forum. I am 3 clearance tests away from being done with them and just found out the Dr.I was going to have do my lapband In Maywood IL.has had to stop accepting IL.Medicaid.So I`m on the search for a new Dr.Missouri is closer to me than most places in IL.that do bariatric surgeries.So,can someone,anyone,please give me some names of surgeons/facilities in MO that accept IL.Medicaid,are concidered to be a center of excellence?I was hoping to be able to have my surgery done by September but now,it will probably be later than that since I have to go with another Dr. I would greatly apreciate your help. Hi Kim, welcome. I am Robyn, from St Louis, and I have MO Medicaid. I am having a hard time finding a surgeon who takes the MO Medicaid. I have no idea if anyone would take out of state Medicaid............ I called several, the only one i came up with who accepts the MO, is Dr Eagon. And I am now on the waiting list for Sept 07.........and thats just for the consultation......sigh. I am going to try to call some others today and see if anyone takes the insurance, and can get me sooner. Good luck.

Kim, Dr. James Pitt in Columbia does Lap Bands now....Im not for sure if he is doing it with medicaid now or not he was suppose to sometime soon...Craig Lee
