Psych Eval

I got up at the horrible hour of 6 am to be in Columbia at 8 am for this psych eval. I have never seen a psych doctor before. (I work evenings, so up early for me is torture). I am a bit nervous about this visit. Wish me luck! Sheila J

Good Luck Sheila, hope they dont find out that your too crazy hahaha just kidding, it'll go good for ya, they just mainly want to make sure you understand what your getting into and all and that you have a support system in place for after surgery and stuff. You'll be fineeee. Take Care, Andrew

Ok, Dr Bumby was great! She gave me an excellent evaluation and I really liked her.......except for the cost. They told me when I made the appt. that it would be $308, but when I got there they are adding $140 for "facility fees". I told them that I only had the $308 so they said they would bill me for the rest. What could I do? While I was sitting there I heard them tell other patients the same thing about the "facility fee". I was sitting there thinking.......if they have 50 patients today in that office alone.....that is $7000 in one day for "facility fees". I think something is amiss!! Anyway, one step closer. Dr Bumby told me she would fax the report to the Missouri Bariatric Services today. Thanks for the support! Sheila J.

Also, one more thing.........Dr Bumby had wls 20 months ago and is down 120lbs. She looks great (like a model). I didn't know that she had the surgery before I went. I think it made me more comfortable with her after she told me. I guess that is why they recommend her! Sheila

When I had my eval, I decided right then and there that I want to be a psychiatrist in my NEXT LIFE! lol My appointment was 10 minutes of paperwork, 20 minutes of conversation, and they billed my insurance for $175!!! I WANT THAT JOB!!! hehehe Congrats on this next step, Sheila!! deb
