Yesterday turned out to be a pretty nice day after the rain finally quit about 10:30 I don't have any idea how much rain we actually got but I know it was enough to make things really muddy around here. Lol. One guy in the area said his rain gauge said 4 and ½ inches. And I would say that may be just about right. It really rained here I was going to go over to a craft show in Shell Knob yesterday but it was still raining early in the day and looked like it might continue but it didn't so I should have gone. Not much else to talk about . I didn't do much . Oh I wondered if anyone else has this reaction to B-12 shots. When I get a shot for the first 2 days after getting the injection I am so tired and want to sleep and sleep. Then I start getting more energy. Does that make sense? Debbie: Learn all you can from the post ops and then you will do your own observations lol It is a learning process I really do think that we all have to go thru. Glad you are down on the amount of dogs you have. I have thought at times that I would do something like that but I don't know. I would only do really small dogs tho if I did it. Debbie the pain in your back and chest could still be heart related. Women don't show normal pain when it comes to heart problems. Be sure and have your doctor check you for everything when you see him. Take care of Debbie we love you much girl. Sky : the walking you are doing is paying off you know. You are going to be looking like a young chick before long . Good for your daughter in helping you do more exercise. And it is good for her too to keep her young and healthy. Lucky: good to see you girl. don't need to start working yourself to death the first few days back at work you know. Take it easy. Yes that is what our dietitian says too about adding new food slowly. Tonight I tried dark meat of the chicken. Was really good and lots more tender than white meat. and I got it down just fine with some spag squash. And rotel over the top. Was very good and very filling. I had enough of my thigh meat to make 2 large portions for me another time. Lol cheap person to feed right now. Let us know how your one month check up goes. Rachael: it is really hard to keep up with the kids and their activities isn't it especially when you have baby too. Yes I wish the doctors could help you figure out what is wrong. Huera: I have a grandson that is now 16 but when he was tiny that is what I called him my little spider monkey. He was all legs and arms and thin and wiry. Always climbing and into things. Hope you either found you a dress or got in touch with Melissa to see if she has anything you could wear. We are polishing you a spot on the losers bench as I speak. Latrice: welcome to the board. And hope you get that consult date soon. It is hard to be patient when you are waiting isn't it? Barbara: Did you get brave and give yourself the b-12 shot? That needle isn't that bad is it? Glad you are feeling better than last year. Isn't it wonderful how much better each day brings us? I agree that it is wonderful to have loving and caring spouses. I know some people don't have that support and I can really feel for them since I don't think I could have made it this far without Joe . He has been my rock . And is a Godly man too which makes it all the better. I thank God daily for him. Hope the rest of the week end is a good one for you. And hope we see the rest of you on the board this week. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Morning to all!! Praise the Lord today and every day!! A quick posting before I leave for church. For some reason I am ahead of schedule today and have time. Just wanted to say good morning and be thankful for all your blessings. I had a big wow moment yesterday morning. For one thing, all week everyone who sees me has made comments about how great I look and how much have you lost? Well for the past 2 months I would gulp and say I havent lost anymore weight but it must be inches. Well, yesterday I lost 3 pounds. That made my day as it has been a long time in coming. Guess my body is re-establishing. I have 17 to my personal goal and one pound to the goal that Dr. H said he could get me too. It must be old age. LOL. It does not want to come off even though I am really working the program and rarely eat something I should not. My DH says, " I dont know how you are going to lose 17 more pounds, or where it is going to come from". It is my personal goal and it may be unattainable. But I am shooting for the Gold Medal. LOL. Anyway, I am here to tell you to not get discouraged, everyones weight comes off in different amounts. People that had surgery around my date have lost over 100 pounds or more already and I am the caboose. But we all start at different wts. So please hang in there. And to all of you who are preop we are waiting for you to give us the date. And we are here to help you. A special prayer for all of you going to have surgery this week out there. God will be with you and keep you in his care. Have a great day. Colette

The weather here finally let up and quite having tornadic activity, thank goodness, it was scary Friday and most of Sat. I am hoping all my MO people are well, and felling way better losing like they should....I went ahead and got gas today for my columbia trip, it was $2.03!!! Who can believe it is that low... Went to Wally World today and bought some new Wal-Mart brand "Crystal Lite".... I bought Cherry Limeade (((tastes JUST like Sonic's Diet Cherry Limeade, but not made w/ Diet Sprite, which is a no no!!!)) Haven't tasted: Apple or Cran-Apple yet, and stocked up on my fav, GRAPE I am on my 2nd Cherry Limeade! This one I put in my "Bullet" and added it, w/ ice and water, making a CHerry Limeade SLUSH.... Hello to all my wonderful Missouri OH brothers and sisters. Have had a busy week and haven't been on the board much. My DD and grandson and her in-laws left on Friday after a whirlwind visit. She is a widow and has the most wonderful in-laws who helped her move to North Missouri last weekend. She can't get into her new house yet so is sort of camping out with her father's family and mine up there but she's resilient and makes the best of most things. I'm so happy to have her so close. Last Tuesday I began training on the Cybex machines at my gym and that's a whole new ballgame for me. I like it, it's different. However, I'm not too swift at setting up the various machines yet. Hope all of you have a wonderful week. I saw my PCP on Thursday and got a good report so I'm keeping on keeping on. Hugs and love Lana

Hey ya'll, Wowzers what a weekend. Those friday storm**** us down here in Pilot Knob pretty hard. A couple tornados struck here only a couple tenths of a mile up the road, did some bad damage on a few houses, praise God no one was hurt. Here at our apartment we didnt get no damage, Praise God, we did hear the tornado up the road, talkin bout scary. I loveeeeeeee storms but hearin that sure made me a bit nervous. I was outside for a bit until it started to hail real bad then I was sticking my head out the door lol silly me, I did close the door and go to the hallway. The property we're moving out to wasnt damaged either but just down the road from it a house and brand new mobile home were both destroyed, again thank the good Lord no one was hurt at all. Well anyway I just wanted to post a quick one. We been without power til last night and cable til today so I had no net. Hope everyone else is doing good and is all safe.
