Well I guess I will come out from behind the rock I have been hiding behind ( and it is a "BIG" rock). I do read posts every day, I am learning a lot from everyone. It is making me less terrified about my own upcoming surgery. The monthly support meetings have been an even greater help, and meeting Wayne and Jan was a big shot in the arm for me I look forward to getting to talk to them more at the next meeting. Dr Hodges, and Mary are getting everything together to submit to my insurance for approval. I am hoping to have my surgery by late November, or early December. Lana I will look for you at the gym. Welcome aboard Alan! Do you lurk on the mens board as well? I think it's great for the men to partner up and so glad you got to meet Wayne! You are more than welcome to stop by our newest Springfield support group as well. (see Fridays' post by Claudette) There's going to be many long term post-ops there and we'd be happy to share our knowledge! It's much less structured than the other but that has it's benefits as well. I got ALOT of great support at New Beginnings as well in the past year. Support groups are a VERY important part of this journey so as you proceed, keep up attendance!!! Hope to see you!! Tami
