MONDAY WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!!!

Monday morning another week starting another day to change what ever you wanted to do yesterday or last week. Don't be down about not getting things done just start from today. Today is the day that you can turn stuff around. What ever it is. Doesn't make a difference , eating, getting all you water down, getting in all your protein. Keeping your house cleaner , driving the speed limit lol any and all things possible to be started today. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Isn't it wonderful that God gives a new day each and everyone of them to renew our spirits, renew our faith, renew our commitment to something. To change how we deal with our problems. Since I have been losing weight everyone is telling me that I look so much happier. I never thought I was unhappy before but I guess I was. I know I was in more pain than I am now. Maybe that is what they see. But I guess I am happier. I have been giving thanks to God daily for allowing me to have this surgery and to be able to get some of this weight off so far. It has been 2 months on Saturday and I have lost 40 pounds. Wow. How is that for numbers. I pulled a Craig the other day. I have been wearing the pants I had before to work around the house in and I bent down to pick up a block and when I straightened up down went my pants lol. Well I sure dropped that block fast and pulled them up so I guess I need to go find some more work clothes at the resale place . I bought a couple of nice things there the other day but I think I will go buy a couple pair of sweats for working in but need something like capris too . I have a lot of t shirts that I can keep on wearing them , hopefully they wont fall off me lol Well we got rained out for today to work. Not a lot of rain just enough that we couldn't drag out the electric power tools lol didn't want to get a shock. We did haul some gravel from the pile to the floor of the green house and around the outside of it . Tressia: oh yeah the massage sounds really good. My dh gave me a good one yesterday afternoon . Felt so very good. My back had been knotted up but he got all of the lumps out. He said wow I can sure feel your bones in your back now. Lol that was a really nice compliment . That sounds more like sinus allergies than a cold to me Tressia. You cant just take anything for allergies? How come? I cant stand cough syrups they make me throw up. When I need cough meds I take the pills they have now for it and works just as good. I really enjoy working outside and doing hands on stuff. wasn't a lot to do this morning until we go and get some more lumber or rather the cedar siding to put on the bottom 2 feet of the building. I am so excited about this green house, I guess you all cant tell, can you. I have a tomato plant that I just potted up into a large pot and it is in bloom hoping I can raise fresh tomatoes in there all winter. First experiment so don't know if it will work or not. Going to try. Lana: lol I am only energetic when it come to doing outside work. I really don't like housework and spend as little time as I can inside . I try to keep things clean as I go so I don't have to spend time inside when I could be outside. My kitchen is cleaned as I use it I clean something in the bathroom every time I go in there lol same way with the living room and other rooms. That way I never have to spend all day in the house cleaning lol. The chili sounds good . I am going to make some of our butternut squash soup this week I hope. Yeah the clothes you put in the attic will probably be given away next spring. If you have your surgery in the next few months by the time it is time to wear them again you will have undergrowed them lol. I cant wait for you and Sugar to get your surgeries. She is sending in all of her paper work tomorrow I think. Her insurance company has already given her pre approval. Hopefully she will get surgery as soon as she finishes her exercise time. Well I think I have talked long enough and made up for not many posting on here yesterday. I guess everyone was too busy .lol. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning Jan and the rest of the gang! Thank you Jan for your faithfulness on posting every morning! Although I usually don't respond, I do look forward to reading them and seeing how everyone is doing. Looks like I'm the first to respond this morning....can hardly believe that one! lol I actually got up and made my boys pancakes and bacon. I try to make some sort of breakfast every morning (although I don't always succeed). Any of you post ops out there able to eat any bacon? In the manual Dr. H gave me there is a place where you are to write your 5 favorite foods you won't be able to eat anymore. I guess bacon will have to be one of them. I have to remind myself anything worth having is worth sacrificing for. It's rainy and chilly here this morning. I think it's supposed to be around 63 today. My boys only have school 2 1/2 days this week. They were out last Friday too. I sure don't remember getting that many days off from school! My oldest boy is 16 (he's the one that made Eagle Scout this summer) and my youngest boy is 11 (he is a First Class Scout). My husband is the local Scout Master here in town. I am so proud of both of them. I pray each and every day that David and I can raise Godly young men who will stand up for what they believe in and be the responsible men (husbands and fathers) they are called to me. Praise the Lord He is faithful! Well, I guess I better scoot. Have a kitchen that needs to be cleaned and then I will probably have to take a nap. Hope everyone has a GREAT Monday! Debbie D.

Good Mornin Ya'll, Jan your posts are always so inspirational, seems you always know how to pick a person up when they are down and ya dont even know they are down This weekend has been a tough one for me. Saturday night I started getting sick with the body aches and chills and running a temp. I had to go pick my wife up from work at 9:30pm that night and I hardly knew how to drive, thank goodness she only works a mile away. Got home and I was shakin so bad from the chills that I couldnt get the key in the front door lol. I was like that most the day sunday, off and on hot and cold. I havnt had the flu in years or even run a temp like that in ages but I guess it found me this time. Today Im a bit better tho, was able to keep some dry toast down. Been sipping water and juice so not to dehydrate. I guess If I was gonna get this now is a good time and not closer to my surgery date. Were about to get settled in our new place. Sure takes time to put everything where ya want it. We have a pile of boxes to go out to the storage shed in back but it's been raining since 2am this morning so guess those will wait, sure nice sitting here in my office and watching the rain I have 2 big windows where we've set the office up in, it's really nice. Well I hope everyone has a super monday. Im gonna lay back down awhile. God Bless Andrew

Good Morning, My Missouri Pals!!! Andrew, take care of yourself dude!!! I read yesterday's post, but don't think I ever got around to posting..... I feel so "weird" lately...NO Momma Jan, NOT L-O-V-E...lol Even tho, he did test my blood sugar for me yesterday. I don't have to test everyday. I have a meter, but can't bare to stick myself. He must like me...LOL...it was 81. I am going to have him do it a couple more times then call my doctor and tell them the numbers. I take a pill for my diabetes, but the nurse at MO Bariatrics said that I'd make myself JUST AS SICK if I didn't need it anymore and was taking it. CAN I BE DIABETES FREE?????? WOOT WOOT... Down to 239 today, still a Ton to go....but, If I lost 40 more I will be happy! xoxo S

Hello Everybody, I have just caught up on reading all the posts since Saturday. I thought I would check in. I am like some of the others, I read all the posts but sometimes do not post myself. We had our Homecoming at church yesterday, had a great time. Tomorrow will be two months out from surgery for me. I went ahead and weighed this morning and I have lost 45 pounds!! I am happy with it, I have never been able to lose like that on my own without the WLS. It has been raining here since last night, just a slow steady rain. One of those days where staying in bed all covered up and watching TV sounds like a great thing to do. Hope you all have a great rest of the day! Brenda

Hello Missouri.....I got seven more minutes until I have to say "good afternoon." I am back to work after a week of vacation and I am already tired...Tonight I am going to work overtime to give the flumist to soldiers...I am going to be needing some overtime sincce Christmas is just around the corner....As I had mentioned before my sister was suppose to have her surgery on the 13th but they rescheduled it for this Friday instead, so we all need to move over on the bench.... Hope everyone has a blessed day and stay in out of the rain...it is so gloomy, if I was not at work I would be in bed asleep....hehe God Bless to everyone Rachael
