TUESDAY WHATS HAPPENING
Yesterday sure was rainy wasn't it? It started raining here on Sunday evening about 6pm and continued all night and then all day today. Things should be wet enough now for a day or two. None of it ran off I don't think. Was just a nice soaking kind of rain.
Since it did rain we couldn't work on the green house so I went in to Springfield early and went to visit my sister, Sugar, and she went with me to Dr. McClain's to get my final shots in my knees. He said I should be feeling the full effect of all of these by the middle of November. He is the surgeon who did Sugars double knee replacement both at the same time. She did great doing that.
Im glad that I don't have any more of the shots for a little while at least. They are suppose to last at least for 6 months and he said sometimes they last longer.
We went to Hobby Lobby and I got some more purple Christmas decorations for my tree this year. I want a purple and gold tree.
Still don't know what we will be doing for Christmas but will decorate anyway. I love to decorate.
Hopefully my brother will come tomorrow and we can get the rest of the framing done for the green house. Then all we will need to do is wait for the glass stuff to come in.
Debbie D. : boy those pancakes and bacon sound really good. Guess I could have a bite with sugar free syrup? You really will be able to eat about anything you want at some point in your life just not right after surgery.
And with modifications. And restraint.
I read somewhere that this one girl carried a tiny baby spoon the real tiny ones with her and if there was a dessert that just was too tempting then she took 2 bites with her tiny spoon , gave her the taste and did no harm. Sounds like a good thing to me.
I hope your prayers are answered in being able to raise godly young men and teach them right.
So many parents now days don't seem to know that it can be done and don't try.
Praise God for good parents.
Andrew: thank you for the nice compliment. I just write what I think lol sometimes there is something in there and some times there isn't.
Oh my gosh are you feeling any better?
That is sad that you are getting sick. Have you noticed how many people get sick before their surgery? I think it is stress related.
Have you found a psych doc yet?
It takes a long time to get everything settled when you move doesn't it. Take care of your self and drink lots and lots of fluids
Sherr: the weirdness could very well be because you don't need the medicine anymore. Yes I would check with my doctor and see.
Very good on the weight loss. Hang in there girl it gets better and better.
Brenda: hey girl good to see you pretty smiling face again. How great on your weight loss. Im so proud of you. Are you off all of your meds now?
I bet you are missing the kids now that they have gone aren't you?
Keep posting we miss you.
Rachael: good to hear from you. Have you gotten any of your pain under control yet? I know you said you had a new doctor. Did he find anything?
We will be praying for your sister and her surgery this Friday.
Claudette: Hey good to hear you are feeling better. That z-pack of antibiotics really works most of the time well doesn't it?
Glad that you had a great , calm, relaxing week end. We all need those once in a while and especially if you are under the weather.
I know you have posted it twice but can you please give me the address one more time for the new meeting? I remember it is this next Monday and that it is in a Fire Station but forgot the time and the exact location. Lol I promise I will write it down this time.
I got an email from a friend of mine in Colfax La. Yesterday afternoon . She said they had 16 inches of rain in about 4 hours and a lot of the houses down there were flooded with a foot or two of water in them. She said so far hers was ok but is because she is on the back side of the dam . They have been having tornadoes all around them too. Please pray for these folks . This area is so low and so wet anyway that rain like this is bad.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN
Good Morning Jan and Everyone else
I know it's been a long time since I have posted on here. I don't get much computer time anymore it seems like and I spend most of it reading. I am glad you all are doing ok. It's great to see all the new people, but it seems like I am not the only one missing on here. Anyway I just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you all know you are still in my thoughts and prayers. Oh and Jan I hit 100 lbs gone last week. It seems to be coming off a lot slower now, but it's still coming off at least.
I hope every one has a great day. You all take care of yourselves. Love and Prayers for each of you.

Good Morning Everyone:
I am back!!!! I got into town last night we didnt leave my parents house until late. But thats was okay we had a really good visit. And the best part was I got to see my neices and nephews. Goodness they are growing so fast. But boy they sure are beatiful thats for sure. Of course that is the Aunt in me but I am partical to all children.
I think we got enough rain for awhile. It started to rain at my parents house on Sunday afternoon and rained thro the night into the next morning. It didnt let up until after we made it home and then only for a little bit. But now everything has that soaked look.
I came here this morning to log on and WOW what a change OH.com has done. I didnt know if I was going to find the board or not this morning. I will have to play with the site for a few house to check out everything. And I was just getting use to the other changes they made and then boom they did it agin to us. lol
Well I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! Good to be back and see how everyone is doing.
God Bless
Melissa
P.S. Going to the car wash again today.

Happy Tuesday Gang!!
Glad to see that Mel Mel is back...missed you.....hope it was a great visit...
I slept til 9:00 this morning, but I was having a nightmare, it was weird waking up so late.
I made a chopped veggie soup w/ lean white meat ground turkey today....later on in the afternoon, my son, Dylan and Mom are going to come over and help me organize my workshop (storage building) and add more things to it, and then eat soup
Mom said, "I'll bring us some crackers, (Dylan & her) because I know you don't have any...
When I started this journey, I knew if it was in the house, just like my issue with sweets/sugar, I can't have it around me. So I started eating and not replacing things I knew would not be okay to eat. Then when I can have them again, I will just go out and buy them.
Crackers, toast, LF Cheese and seafood do not come around until 10/27.
I love toast, so I am quite excited about THAT date
Dr. Ramaswamy (my surgeon) had her nurse call me yesterday to move up my 10/30 (1 month) appt. from 10:30 until 8:30....
I was going to try to get up early on the 30th and drive straight thru and go to the appt, and drive back, but now, I know I can't. I'd have to get up around 2:00 a.m. and that is just not do-able.
So, I am going to book a room at my favorite Columbia hotel for the Sunday night before and stay over.
More money, but at least I know I will get rest.
Sorry to ramble...
Sherr

Good Morning,
Boy it rained here from Sunday night till early this morning! I think we have enough for awhile. The trees were pretty but the rain knocked off alot of the leaves so now it's really starting to look like winter.
Jan, I still take seven medications but 2 are allergy medicines and 1 is my B12 shot.
I have a ton of allergies, I have had a headache and bloody sinus for over a week, I hope this rain washed away some of the problems and I will get better.
I do miss the kids. My mom used to say "It's lonesome but, it's a sweet lonesome."
My daughter, son in law and 3 grand-daughters will be with us for Thansgiving. So that will be nice. My G-kids are Sydney, she's almost 17. Sarah, she's 15. Skylar, she's 7. and Jacob, he's 3. I love everyone of them.
My DIL is 10 weeks pregnant, please pray that she will be able to deliver a healthy baby. She miscarried 9 times before she had Jacob and has miscarried a couple times after Jacob.
I pray everyone that has been ill will soon be well. I hope everyone will have a great day. Good Luck to all that will be having surgery soon.
Brenda

Jan and all the Missouri Board Friends,
First, the meeting at the fire station is at 6:30 and I'm still planning to go. I hope to see some folks I've been missing. I am leaving at noon Friday to drive up to the St. Joseph area to see DD and Grandson. I'm excited. I'll get to see their new house even though they haven't moved into it yet. GS may be going to World's of Fun on Saturday but that's fine with me. DD and I can have time to ourselves which we rarely have. I love my GS dearly but he's a normal 12 year old boy and believes the world revolves around him, which it does when Amah Lana is around, so having him gone is not necessarily a bad thing.
Since I'll be gone Friday, Saturday and Sunday I may not get on the board until after Monday night meeting so I'll see you there.
