I live here in Branson but I am rooting for the Tigers too. I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and the Tigers will always be first for me. I remember the 1968 series when the Tigers beat Bob Gibson and the Cardinals that was one of the greatest World Series ever in my humble opinion.

That was a good time back then. It was warmer too for some reason. They've been showing footage of that series on the news with clips from the crowds outside Tiger stadium. It is amazing how thin society was back then in 68. I didn't see a large person in any clip. kp

Just to throw my 2 cents in, kevin. It was warmer back in '68 because the series' were played in the beginning of October as opposed to the end. The reason? - there weren't as many teams. The American league and the National league each had pennant playoffs and then there was the series. Not all this hokey pokey that goes on now. Just 2 cents. Linda
