Update on my sister....

My sister is doing ok but still having alot of pain...I told her to get up and walk, walk and walk some more...she will probably get discharged on Monday...they are trying to regulate her blood sugar also...I am so glad that she has finally made it to the other side...I got her a card the night before her surgery and told that now her new life will begin....she will be like me and know what it feels like to run and play with both her children....Now if we could only get some word on my mom's appeal we would all be on the loser's bench together.... Well I just thought I would drop in and give an update....I was up off and on last night with my sister's little girl who is three weeks younger then my daughter and I am pooped....and in a heck of a lot of pain.....I took the flu shot yesterday and it made my pain really flare out of control.....my friend that works with me seems to think that maybe it is a perservative in the last two injections that I had to take that has made me have these terrible exacerbations of symptoms....couldn't take anything strong until now because hubby was at work and I had my little girl with me...my son chose to stay with my parents tonight....so I am waiting for it to kick in....I can't wait until I can go to my new doctor on the 31st maybe he will find out what is going on with me.... My daughter starts daycare on Monday and I am a nervous wreck....I know she will be fine but I still worry.... I do want to say one thing though, no matter what pain I am going through right now I would do my WLS over again because of what a change it has made in my life.....I had a fellow nurse tell me the other day that I looked great, even some of my patients that I use to take care of that see me tell me the same thing and that just gives me even more incentive to continue working hard at losing this last 100 pounds....as soon as I go to the doctor I am going to start going back to the gym.....daily.....right now too I doing alot of overtime because we are having to make sure that we give all the soldiers and their cadre the flu mist, so that makes for some long days...but that is ok it will be great Christmas money..... I also need to share I found some great Walmart brand crystal light, the two flavors are apple-cranberry and cherry limeade....they are wonderful, of course, they don't have them at my Wallie World but they have them in Lebanon so I will continue to travel to get because they are that good.... Rachael do you think your pain could be lupus? i have been racking my brain but im sure you have too about what it can be. looks like some doctor some where could figure it out. i have a freind that has lupus and as long as she watches and stays away from any sort of unnatural product . from food to washing detergent she feels so much better. otherwise she is in horrible pain all the time. Jan, When this all started the doctors ran some lab tests that would test for that but they were ok...the doctor I went to in Lebanon sent me to the neurologist who was intially going to do a lumbar puncture to test for MS but when my B12 level came back and it was he cancelled that....my doctor in lebanon also told me that he had a similar case and until he could convince the neurologist to perform a lumbar puncture in this patient he was in the shape I am right now and when they did the LP they found out that in fact he had MS....I am hoping that me going to an internists will help me find and answer..... Rachael Thank you so much for the update on your sister. I planned on calling her today to she how she is going. Also on the GV flvaors that you were talking about at Wal Mart they also have grape, cherry, strawberry, and my fav APPLE!!! Taste just like apple juice Yummy!!! I have found them in our Wal Mart across town in the individuals and the containers. Love ya Melissa
