Update on "Mel Mel" Melissa Russell & Her Hernia Repair

Just heard from Mel's husband......It seems this being her 4th Hernia Surgery Repair, the surgeon spent most of the day taking the old mesh out, straightening her intestines out etc, they were un-able to complete the NEW Hernia Surgery Apparently, now, best case scenario is they will go back in on Monday to perform the NEW heria repair. Terry told Janet Corbett, that for the next (6) they must "pump her full of antibiotics"...I am unclear on why that would be.... they can't do the surgery on Monday, they will have to wait 30 days and then perform the adding of the new mesh screen.... Terry also said, that if they must do the surgery on Monday, that he's going to have to leave a couple of days before to head home and handle some issues at their home in Joplin...This makes me sad, because that leaves Mel Mel by herself. I will let you guys know as soon as me or Janet C hears anything new.... Sh

that is so sad that she is facing all of that. I know she is strong and all but when you are expecting one thing and get another it is very discouragaing. please let her know we all are praying for her. Jan

UPDATE: TERRIBLE NEWS! ****JAN COOK, Terry, Mel's husband is trying deperately to call you.... Mel just crashed and was taken back to Critical Care....She is now on a "Center Line" her blood pressure dropped to 80/40... She is very ILL PLEASE PRAY FOR HER!!! Sherr.....

i dont know why he isnt able to get me my phone is on and i have been right by it all day. we will all pray for her please people pray hard. Jan

Has anyone heard how Mel is doing? I noticed you posted about an hour and a half ago. Was just wondering if anyone else knew how she is doing. I prayed for her and will continue to pray until we know she is doing. Debbie D.
