WEDNESDAYS WHATS HAPPENING

Wednesday again , seems like i just said that lol I guess i did last week. Hey ive got a great story to tell you all. Last year around the first week of Jaunuary my husband all of a sudden said he lost his wedding ring somewhere. He was outside and was washing off some siding to put up on the end of the house and said he just noticed that it was gone. Well since is was rather cold out and he was using soap and water we figured that it came off while he was washing the siding. We looked and looked and even got the neighbor to come down and use his metal dectector all over the yard where he was working. He was getting more and more upset as time went on. Ever since he had his auto accident in 99 he has had panic attacks and he had those for several days after losing his ring. not that it was that expensive but just because it was his wedding ring. When he gets upset he has panic attacks. We were getting ready to go on a cruise in 2 weeks so i decided i would find us 2 more rings similar to the ones we had and surprise him on the ship and have some sort of little cermony to dedicate them. Which we did was really romantic and he was so pleased. They even looked a lot like the old rings, gold nuggets, with tiny diamonds in them. He was happy with it and became more calm about the losing of the ring. Yesterday we put up the Christmas tree and when we took the last piece out of the box there was some stuff in the bottom of the box that i was looking at and lol and behold there on the bottom of the cardboard box was his old ring. We dont have any idea how it got there but some how it was there and has been there for a year. now this box has torn places in the corners etc. so dont know how it has stayed in there but it did. Amazing. and why i would look thru these little pieces of paper and stuff in the bottom of the box dont remember them being there when we put the tree away last year but who knows. Carol: glad you are feeling well since your tummy tuck. Hope you will get to the meeting of the Circle of Friends. Actually i dont think the losers bench is any longer , this is just my theory tho. Because as we lose weight we make more room for the new post ob so there is always room for more and more . Tressia: yep prayer always does it . We have a great big wonderful God that hears us as we plea our cases. If i come up there again i will be sure and let you know so you can come to meet me somewhere. I have had and still have trouble with certain foods and their "dark" taste. lol I tell my husband that i can only eat "white or light foods. Does that make sense. I know it doesnt but that is true. I still have problems Do as Tami said and take small bites at first and let it rest for about 15 mins and if it isnt right for you right now you will know. Tami :so sorry about your daughter and the broken arm. That is sad since this she will be off from school and will have to be still. yeah will probably get those video games going well Andrew: 5 pounds isnt anything to be upset over since when did you lose 5 pounds in a week and know that it was gone for good. When tha****er weight starts coming off you will be losing it fast. Also try to get in as much water to drink as you can that will force the other water out . doesnt make sence but it works. Hey that is great that you got your appointment on the 19th also. Yeah we will probably stay overnight that night there too since my appointment is at 3pm. You and Brenda decide what time you want to tell everyone that we will meet them and where if you have a preference. I will come either early or stay late or like i said stay over night. Deb: What ever you decide about either lap band or Rny will be the right decision for you. You are the one that has to live with what ever you decide . I know there are lots of people that have surgeries after wls and which ever they have doesnt seem to be a problem the surgeon just has to know that you have had the wls. Have you thought of a name for the new little bird yet? Well everyone lets all come up with some pretty names for Debs new birdy. I say "Hope" what are your choices. Rachael: I will be sure and add your name and town to my list of stops to see when we take our trip next spring. Yes i have sent off for my nursing lic. to be renewed . Not real sure about how i will do at nursing again but i am going to try i think. But may wait until the first of the year now tho.I have 3 different doctor appointments in December and a granddaughters wedding shower and wedding plus our wedding anniversary too . and couldnt work on any of those dates lol would be sort of silly to take a job and say ok but i need this date and that date off this month before i ever worked even one day lol I am so glad that Melissa is doing so much better. I cant wait until she is home and back being her *****y self. Kat Smith and Michelle M. glad that you all are joining us on the boards. Welcome and glad to have you here. Good morning Jan and all the Wonderful Missouri friends!!! So many blessings to be thankful for this year. Having all you as new friends is so great and getting approved for surgery. God is so good!!! DD and DGS surprised me and drove down last night after school. I was so anxious to see them. He's grown just in the last two months. She'll start making food today and we'll continue when I get home from work. I still cannot believe we are within driving distance to each other now. I've probably mentioned I have hardly any family so it makes me thrilled to have them closer. Don't know if I'll get on the board until next week with company and all but all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving and don't forget who to thank. We've been so blessed this year with successful surgeries and close friendships. Let's just praise the Lord and I'll talk to you after my all day seminar on Monday. Hugs and lots of Love Lana

Morning all...this will probably be short due to a sinus headache I'm fighting to get rid of. No name for the bird yet...I do like "Hope" tho Yes, I agree that many that have had surgery with either of the wls and all were fine. I need to make a "for sure" decision soon. I'm even having dreams about the surgery now...lol My hubby told me the other night I sat up in the middle of the night saying "where do I need to sign that? I need to sign that, where?" He said he asked me "sign what?" he said I was already laid back down and snoring...lol He asked me the next day and I had no idea...lol I hope everyone is ready for Thanksgiving and I pray that everyone has an awesome one and that those traveling are safe going to and coming from their getaways. God Be With All Of You! Sorry Andrew, hubby thought it may of been you, walking with us as we were leaving! That would of been funny if it had, we had a pretty nice conversation with them. CONGRATS to Marilyn, Patty, Barb!! Who's next? Hubby is doing better with not taking that pill but he keeps them close for right now, just in case. Did you all decide about Christmas Cards? Good Morning All; Want to thank you Tami and all for the advice, tuna was an issue for me too, oh my goodness that was my first dump, never again for a long time. And I love (loved tuna). anyway I did something different for dinner last evening. I am only like 5 days away from soft foods so I decided to take a little bit of baked chicken and green beans I chewed and chewed and chewed for such a long time it finally took me at least half an hour to get my little bit down and I did it with out the ill feeling afterwards. I know I didn't eat the full amount of serving I am suppose to have but I am still having an issue getting the full amount down. I am working on that. so I am still taking my bullion and liquids to help with the nutrition as much as possible. Melissa and all we are praying for you. Good Morning All and an early Happy Thanksgiving. Marilyn I am sorry I didn't get to visist with you. I woke up yesterday feeling like a bad cold was coming on and I was right. So I did not want to spread the germs. Hope you are doing well. I am trying to get up enough energy to help my sister fix things for dinner tommorrow. But I am so short of breath with my asthma and this cold. But I need to get moving. I have to take may granddaughter to Dr. this afternoon too. So Busy busy day. Best wishes to all. JULIA

Good afternoon everyone! Just got back from my first post op visit. Not even a week out and I am down 9.5 lbs. I am very excited about this! to all the upcoming sugeries...have faith. The surgery was the scariest part for me. I felt alone and scared and like no one knew what I was going through. I still have moments where I think, what have I done? But I wouldn't change it. I may miss thanksgiving this year but that is ok. I will slowly eat my jello while the family is feasting and it will all be good. I will keep you all in my thanks and prayers tomorrow Barb studt
