I did it finally

All my paperwork is mailed to Dr. Edwards office.as of 12/06. They have all my 5 years of records from my PCP. Now i have to wait on the call from them to set up my initial consultation. I am private pay. How long does it usually take to get your first appt?

Tara, Good job on getting your paperwork in. If you have done all of the other appts (behavior class, exercise appt, nutrition and psych evals) then it shouldn't take any time at all. Of course Dr. E is busier now that Dr Hodges has left, but the office seems to be really good at getting everyone in. Good Luck! Once I finished everything and got my insurance approval, I got in for my pre-surgury appt within the next week and the surgury was set up for 3 weeks after that.

Thank you for the feedback. I work with someone that had the RNY done about 6 months ago. I look at her and want to get started. I feel I could be making the other appt while i wait, but i will wait for Dr. E office to call me. Hurry up and wait....right?
