He is now 5 days post op and doing really great! They sent him home on lortab for pain only, which shocked me. He really hurt his first day home, but I told him to take that pain med every 4 hours, and since he started that he is doing better. He is not the least bit hungry, and his wife is making him eat broth and drink water. They gave him grape juice in the hospital, and it was too sweet, so he had his first episode of dumping. His abdomen is all covered with bruising, and staples, and he came home with a drain. My brother gags at the site of blood! I can already see a weight loss. He will be glad he did it soon!

Maybe one of these days they will have the diet of a post-op gastric bypass down pat. It is very aggravating that they can't quite get that right. When my mom had her surgery they kept bringing her food with sugar over and over again. And juice is the worst! That is why I was glad that I could be there with her and intercept all of her food. I am so glad to hear that Chris is doing ok! Please keep us updated S
