Today's the last day of the year. Wow this is also one of my granddaughters wedding day. She is getting married at the place my youngest daughter works. www.redbudvalley.com Check it out it is really a pretty place. The wedding would have been prettier if it was in the spring out there but it is still a pretty place. Anyway we will be getting all spiffied up for that. Will take some pictures and put them on my profile. After that we will be coming back home I guess and vegging out. Joe and I neither one are into parties so if we even stay awake long enough to watch the ball drop it will be a miracle. Lol We use to go out and party some when we were younger but decided that was a bunch of crock lol Monday we will have our hog jowl and black eyed peas for prosperity. Wish that really worked. I've been eating them for several years on New Years day and it never has worked yet, well for me anyway, has it for you? Rachael: of course your little guy likes being a child. That is the way it should be. He loves his Aunt huh? That is good. Her kids are younger than him? Boy are you ambitious or what 35 resolutions? Wow. I only have 2 or 3. To meet my goal weight, to get stronger and more energetic. And to become a better and stronger Christian Barbara T: wow are you full of energy or what? I know what you mean about how low we were feeling last year at this time. I thought I would have to be fat and miserable the rest of my days which didn't look like it would be that many more of them at that time and didn't really care if there was or not. I do know that Tracey sometimes if she has a deadline will go to a hotel and be totally by herself to finish up a book. I guess you could do that in your house. Just make a quite place and unhook the phone and the TV and radio. lol Then maybe you could get some writing done. It may not be time for you to finish your book yet though. Maybe that was just to get you moving in a direction. I don't know. You have a great day at church tomorrow and if we don't see you Happy New Year to you. Tracey: how are you doing? We are continuing to work on the guest house so when you think you might want to use it let me know. Have you started on a new book yet? That is nice of you to offer to talk to Barbara. I don't think she has any sort of deadline it is just a book she is writing about her life. That may be the problem since she doesn't have a deadline. I don't know. Andrew: how is Susan, You know when you all were over here I told her that it sounded like her gall bladder that was bugging her. If she has to have surgery she should see about having the weight loss surgery and them taking the g.b. out at the same time and not have to pay for that without having the other lol. She can calm the gall bladder down some , sometimes by eating softer and bland meals. That is a bad pain. I had mine removed about 18 years ago I think. Turkey and chicken are two things that are hard to get down for me yet. Isnt that a miserable feeling when it gets stuck? I don't think you are doing anything wrong just that poultry is hard to get down. It seems to get bigger as you chew. Same as beef does me too. Really ground beef is the only one that really does well for me. Your recipe for the water chestnuts sounds neat. Will have to try that some day. Yes if everyone will pray that I at least get called for an interview I would appreciate it, for the job. It just seems like something that would be great to do. Lana: that is great that your meds are shrinking. Wonderful to realize that things are really changing for the better isn't it? Even before you can see any weight loss the body is changing inside. I haven't had a blood pressure pill since I had surgery and my b/p has been great it is now sometimes 114/60 wow!!! Isn't that amazing? The fluid I use to collect on my ankles and feet and hands is no longer happening. It just gets better and better. I know you are going to miss your younguns now that the holidays are over and they are all back home. Take care of yourself with that cold and get something to get over it with so you wont be sick and trying to heal. I love riding in the car like that too. Joe has a hard time with it tho. He wants to go from point a to point b in the shortest , quickest way possible. It is hard for him to just wander aimlessly. If I drive he will keep asking where are you going, where does this come out at? When I tell him I don't know he just looks confused lol Prayers are still coming your way for complete healing soon. Have a great New Years Eve no matter how you decide to celebrate it everyone. Whether with friends, at church or in bed soon it will be 2007 that I is hard to believe. Turn the calendar, write new dates in your checkbook, start a new year. It is a clean slate again. You can accomplish this year what you wanted to last year and didn't. new day new time new year. Best wishes to each and everyone. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Hello Jan and all the OH Missouri folks, I'm feeling better every day. Today John took the last of the kids up to Kansas City to the airport so I'll be home alone all afternoon. Oh well, I love being alone occasionally. I'm making homemade chicken broth with some legs and carrots, onion, and celery. I'm going to freeze the cooked meat until I can eat it ane serve John the carrots with butter, sugar and lemon juice. I love chicen broth, thank God, and also have not lost my taste for plain ice water. I know most folks want room temp but I broke pouchy in on iced water and he loves it now too. My pouchy is definitely a boy, girls are not that picky!!! Actually, I have not eaten much but what I have had has set just fine. I've had sugar-free jello, chicken broth and sugar-free popsicles. I can't start protein powder until I see Dear Dr on Thursday but I'm increasing water every day. Oh I've had herbal hot tea. I haven't taken anything for the cold yet. I will call Drs office tomorrow and see what they suggest. What have some of you taken? It's hard to think of cold medicine without aspirin, alcohol or sugar. My pharmacist at WalGreens in Nixa is a doll so I might call him. I really think just rest and sleep help the most. That said, I'm gonna take a nap and watch the Chiefs. I love you all so much. Lana

Hi Jan and Everyone Just got in from church and as always it was very uplifting and exciting, we had only one service this morning and will return tonight at 10:00 PM for Watch Night services. No I really didn't have a particular deadline, the only thing God said was to write about the many things that I have survived and it is meant to encouraged young woman to know that God loves everyone. Tracey has offered to talk with me and I feel very honored because I know she is very busy, but just the privilege to talk with a reknown writer is priceless to me and may get me moving in the right direction. I am just so grateful at the chance to be healthy again and to realize that the goals I set for myself in 2007 can and will come to pass. God is so faithful and to Him be all glory and honor. Well I'm going to rest up for this evening's service and bask in what I've already received this morning, so have a wonderful day and evening. HELLO 2007 H A P P Y N E W YEAR HAVE A PROSPEROUS AND BLESSED NEW YEAR EVERYONE BARBARA T. in KC

Hello Jan and friends. I have been really lazy this week. Just not feeling the holidays. My family and I are going to a friends house tonite just a few blocks away for some safe and happy celebrating. Have watched a lot of movies and my oldest granddaughter and I have been watching and rewatching some gospel comedy musicals. We really enjoy them. When I lived in Wichita, Ks I used to get to go see them live. I really miss that. I did go see the movie Holiday with my oldest GH and 2 of her friends. I enjoyed that and the buttered popcorn!! I was a cute funny movie . I go to Columbia for my knee the 2nd, Tues. and then Wed. I go see Dr. H. YIPEE!! I am getting anxious.I keep going over in my mind if I have everything I need. I know all my Dr's gave me the go ahead. But it is just the jitters which I thought I would not have, but do!! I was told we will either sell the apts that I live or they will shut them down. So I am stressed over that. I have started looking for someplace else in Sedalia. I talked with a prospective buyer but he will double and triple the rent and we can't even have our little apt washers and dryers. He also acted like he would possibly ban pets, so I decided then I need to find a new place. My BooBoo is my baby and I will not give her up.She is 9y/o and and I have only had her a year the 4th, but she comes before some old grouch wanting to make money. Then to top things off the tension pully on my car broke, causing me to loose my serpentine belt and had to have my car towed. My brother was going to work on it but when I called the women in the office was so hateful and rude when she told me my brother was not there that I called somewhere else. She wouldn't tell me he was going to be there or tell him to call me. But I got it fixed, was really overcharged and not it makes some strange noise and I have to take it back. My brother told me next time just ignore her, leave my car at his place and he will fix it. He said this woman swears she is not rude but he knows she is. But she is the garage owners daughter, enough said!! Boy Vesta and Marilyn 9 days!!!! What time do each of you have to be at the hospital?? I know Gretta is going to be there the 11th for hers so I pray the weather doesn't get to bad. I am looking forward to seeing all of you. Well all my GD wants to know if I am writing a book she wants to use the computer, so I will check back later. Andrew tell Susan I hope she feels better and will keep her in our prayers. Alan where are you ??????Kat glad to hear from you. Hi Toni!!! and to all our family HAPPY NEW YEAR Julia

Hi, Everybody! Wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I've been out of town from Wednesday until last night. My Uncle passed away on December 23rd so we made the trip down to Mountain Home, Arkansas for his funeral. We are praising the Lord that he accepted Him as his Lord and Savior on his deathbed. I have to remember that thief on the cross. I believe I will see Uncle Everett again someday! Well, we have a family tradition for New Year's Eve. We stay home and have all kinds of finger foods and play board games with our children. Then at the stroke of midnight we have a glass of Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice. My kids love it! I called Price Chopper tonight and asked them to put a couple bottles back for me. I'm glad they did there were only 3 bottles left and Walmart was completely out of it! My youngest one would have been so disappointed. This year we also have the pleasure of keeping our 19 month old Grandson. He is such a joy!! I hope all of you are safe and sound and have a blessed new year! My insurance told me I should have their decision by January 9th. Please continue to keep me in your prayers and my insurance will approve me the first time! God Bless all of you! Debbie D.
