CLEAR LIQUID DIET HELP !!!!
Hi everyone haven't been here for a while. WILL BE HAVING LAP BAND surgery Monday at 10:00 a. M. So I am doing the clear liquids and am sooooo hungry.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions or tips on what they did on the clear liquids. What helped them ETC. . I read one post that egg drop soup helped but I was afraid that would have to much fat content.
I have broke a couple of times and had a bite here and there and ate some fat free saltine crackers . I am hoping next week after surgery my stomach will be sore and small so I won't be this hungry. If anyone out there has any help I really would appreciate it. WHEN I GET THROUGH NEXT WEEK I HOPE IT IS A LONG TIME BEFORE I HAVE TO DO JELLO AGAIN LOL
God bless anna t
Anna, Your nutritionist would be the best person that could help you out. But I can tell you what I did...I use to chew gum...that was before sugery, which they say do not chew it afterwards..I also dran**** Tea with sweetner. The more you drink of broth, SF popsycles, SF Jello the more it quenches your hunger...There really isnt any alternative that I knew of to help other than just go old will power...I was so determined to have it done after working so hard for years to get it that I lost 35 lbs before sugery in three weeks..I started my clear liquid diet early, for my ownself...I wish you all the best....Jesus will watch over you......God Bless...Craig Lee
Homemade chicken vegetable soup, strained, just the broth. Put a little bit of dry chicken gravy mix in it after you strain it. That helped me. Just drink as much of everything as you can. I personally love broth so that was easy for me. I also took Campbell's Select Chicken soups and drained just the broth out of them as it was much tastier than canned broth. Will be with you in spirit.
