Dont want to be a prayer hog...but

I know I can depend on some really good prayer warriors on here! I'm so fearful of what God is trying to show us with my daughter's situation. As many of you answered my call for prayer last week for my daughter going back to court to try to get full/soul custody of both her boys,(right now she has custody of one and dad has the other) we are thankful for the prayers,...she sees a lawyer today at 1:30. Keep her lifted that all goes well. Then she got a notice Tuesday that she owes the govt some $ back on an overpayment of food stamps. She was on them for a couple of years and it was the govt mistake, but they say she owes them $6000. I cant imagaine! They have already taken her tax refund check which she was so counting on to pay bills and catch her up on some things. Her ex has not paid anything that he was supposed to pay to her since they split and so she is trying to keep her head above water and pay the extras that are his responsibility. Since everything was still in both thier names. The food stamp disaster of course can only be charged off to her because she is the one who applied!!!!!!! So, if anyone out there is getting help with food stamps, I would suggest that you call your office and make sure they aren't giving you too much because if so, they will want it back! Even if it is thier mistake as they have admitted to my daughter. THAT IS WHAT MAKES ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! It was thier mistake and they are going to make her pay! Just pray that there can be a resolution to this without her having to pay it.Thanks a million to you all and may GOD bless you! Dear Sugar, First off, your not a prayer hog-dont think there is any such thing~second-we will continue to pray for your daughter. I dont know what county she lives in, but in my line of work, I helped a lot of people that would end up calling the director over family services for their county....tell your daughter not to just take their paperwork "word" for it. Let her call someone OVER that county-not necessarily from that office, you know? A lot of times, they will stick together and there will be no resolution, but when you go over their heads to the director over that county or several counties, they will listen, investigate and go from there. Cant imagine unless they were giving her a thousand dollars a month how incompetent they would be for not catching a mistake that costs that much!! I wish her the best in the custody battle too, and I am sorry she is having to pay for him, when he isnt paying for his fair share. Stay strong and the prayer warriors are on your side. Love, Jan

Oh my.....sound like a VERY stressful situation......I wrote about a financial situation, I felt wronged in, today in my Thursday post...it's resolved in my favor after MANY hours of working on it. I hope the same results for her.....I agree with Jan....see if she can find out the top dog to go to for help with gov't. errors....surely they can come to a middle ground if they've already taken her tax refund.
