WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!! SUNDAY

Big change in the weather for some I guess? Here it is 40 and really windy but no snow just some rain but not as much of that as some got I don't think. How are the rest of you fairing? Is anyone snowed in again? Boy aren't you ready for this winter to be over? I know I am. And as tired of it as we are that is the good thing , we always have the promise of Spring. Woudnt it be awful to live somewhere that was this same awful weather all the time? My son came down yesterday with his 8 year old daughter. He and his wife of 10 years have split up and he is setting up his apartment. I gave him a few things that I have but he had most of what he needs. It is so sad to see a marriage break up like that. She is the one that had weight loss surgery 2 years ago and has lost about 230 pounds. Don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. Sometimes it does happen, but only if the marriage isn't good before anyways. I think they had just grown apart so far and no longer did anything at all together anymore. He was going his way and she hers. Anyway if you all will pray for them I would appreciate it. I made 2 large pans of 4 cheese Enchiladas for supper and what was left I sent home with him to have for meals. He loves them so. Debbie M: hope you weathered the storms you were having and nothing too bad got you? Did you get snow? The grape vine tunnel is really cool and will be even better once I get the Jasmine growing up on it. They said it was suppose to be for up to zone 5 I think and is evergreen. Since I am zone 6 and right on the edge of zone 7 I think it will be ok here. Barbara Scott: hope you and Debbie ride together to the meeting Monday night that would be nice. I hope your first meeting has a good amount there and all goes well. Janet : You and I are going tohave to come up with something different about our names. Lol It is confusing to me and I am one of us. Since we both go by Jan and both of our last names start with C. that isn't much help either lol I guess I could start signing everything with Jan C. and you can leave your just Jan maybe that will help you think? I am so glad that your husband and son had such a great time together Friday. That is so important. And your husband was getting work done too . The time together is what counts. Now what you are doing but the doing it together. Some parents think you have to take them somewhere to make memories but they don't remember those times the ones they remember is the time dad taught me how to hammer or when we went and got that big load of wood. Don't you love hearing the rain on the metal roof? I do we have one too. After we put ours on I love it when it rains now. Can hear it best in our bedroom and that is the place that I really like it. So when it rains it sort of lulls you to sleep. So far so good about not catching anything from Joe. I hope I don't. I don't think it is contagious but who knows. I think it is mainly sinusitis. If he isn't better by Monday I am calling the doctor early to see if he can see them and get something for it. That will be 6 days of this stuff and that is enough. I know if I do get it I am going to get something done quick. I hate being sick. Lol of course I guess no one likes it do they? I got an email with a forward from Melissa yesterday I guess she is back online? I hope so I miss her. I bet the father in laws house has changed a lot since she moved in. I hope she takes care of herself. If you talk to her today tell her we all love her and miss hearing from her. Lol I cant wait till I have people not believe that I am who I say I am lol. Rachael: Hope the headaches have gone away. Did you ever get your other pain problems setteled? Did you ever find out what it was exactly, other than the lack of B-12 or was that it? Im really sorry that you wont be at the meeting Monday I was really looking forward to meeting you and your mother. That is too bad. Sure would love to see you. Andrew: hey buddy how you doing? Hey how much weight have you lost that you are having to wear Susans skirts now? Guess we all need to chip in and buy you something for your skinny butt. Lol Hey that is fantastic about the online classes. I think that is awesome. The Health Care Administration classes? What are you planning on doing with that? Is that to be an Administrator in a nursing home or something? So glad that Susan likes her job. That is important when you have to work to be able to go to work with a smile on your face. Has the pain in her side gone away since she has lost some weight? Are you all still able to go to the gymn together? Julia: well what sort of weather did you all wind up with yesterday? Rain? Snow? Ice? Hey that is great about your apartment that it has gotten that far along . Will be great if they get it all done before your surgery so you can get moved and all settled before hand. The assessment papers came the next few days after they called and gave me my surgery date. You probably should call the office and ask them why you haven't gotten them I know I would. They may think that they have already sent them too you. I like your list those are neat things to ask for for your birthday. Oh I love racing, I watch nascar all the time and I really love the dirt track. We use to go a lot but haven't gone in the last year or so . Mainly because it was so hard on me to get up and down into the bleachers. Now that I can move so much better we may go more. I guess the closest one to us here would be West Plains. Colette: That is a neat idea to have the prayer list in all of those places. And I know everyone appreciates all of your dedication to praying for them. Arent you at goal now on your weight loss? I still haven't really set a goal for myself . I know I need to lose at least 30 more pounds but not sure after that. If I can get rid of this tire around my middle . Hope the new support group is great and you have lots of people in attendance. Be sure and take before and after pictures of yourself to the meeting and encourage each and every one that comes to bring theirs so for the new ones each time they can see what they are going for. It is fun to see where everyone was anyway. Well I guess I will get this posted and cant wait for tomorrow night and our support meeting. Oh I posted new pictures of myself on my profile. Praise the Lord for another Sunday!! What a day yesterday was, we got thunder storms all day yesterday, at times it rained so hard I couldnt hear the tv, my poor lil chuiahaua was a nervous wreck but she's calmed down now. In between storms yesterday I let both dogs out, while they were out in the middle of the yard a big clap of thunder let lose and my poor pup high tailed it back in lol Thank goodness we're not spose to get any of the snow down here, Im so tired of that. Jan Im doing pretty good, as for my weight loss Im at a stand still once again, seems i lose a bit then hold for awhile, this stuff just isnt wanting to come off as fast as some people but im pushing ahead. I remember awhile back someone posted a link or something of how to boost your metabolism, I gotta find that and see what it takes. As for the gym we havnt gone but twice this last week, with the funeral and susan starting her new job we just couldnt get there, now that she has her schedule we'll get back on track this week. The gym is open 24 hrs so if she works days then we'll go in the evening after she gets off work. Yup I gotta wear Susans skirts cuz my pants just dont fit LOL I wouldnt be caught in a skirt for the life of me LOL I do have to buy another pair of jeans this week, the last pair I bought is now to big, they are a size 58, hopefully I can go into a 54/56. I only buy one pair at a time. All of shirts are too big but I just tuck em in, I hate spending to much on clothes cuz of not being able to wear them long, esp when the bigger size clothes are expensive, I did find jeans at value city in farmington for $20, thats not bad for a bigger size. Jan as for the Health Care Admin Classes, I am planning on a couple different ways to a career. One is that I will take Nursing classes too and maybe go into a position like Director of Nursing or something like that, or once I finish with the Admin classes I can go into some part of the Administration of a nursing home or small hospital maybe such as Administrator and still have the Nursing to fall back on. I talked at length with the guidence counselor I have and he suggested a couple different things like that and I really liked it so Im gonna go for it plus it gives me a couple options if I dont like one thing I still have the other to fall on. My online classes start tomorrow, the first two classes are pretty simple but gonna be mind boggling for me, the one is "Persuasive Writting" how to write essays and stuff, the other class is simular so I'll be doing alot of reading and writting essays, yikes!! Colette I sure hope the new group goes off with a bang, from what I can tell you'll have a great group of people there. Hey Deb M. you have any skirts you cant wear anymore??? Gurl you crack me up sometimes LoL I told my wife what you had wrote back, she laffed for 30 mins LoL Well Im gonna go make my shake and shower and get ready for church soon. Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~ WOW...its MAJORLY cold out there this morning.....at least yesterday with the rain and that, it wasnt freezing outside. Told my hubby, Mike that I am not letting the kids outside today-or they will get sick from this weather change again~ LOL... It stormed all day long, into early this morning..our yard is flooded and whats not, is muddy and yucky. Yesterday was fairly productive. I helped Mike build his work benches (had a blast, wanted to build more stuff when we were done!) cleaned house, and went to my parents house to spend more time with the ex in laws that I love so much! I did end up taking a pain pill for my back yesterday because even with back rubs, being doused with theragesic and regular tylenol-still couldnt quit crying. It wasnt until like 4 pm, so I stuck it out, but Mike finally said-take one of my pain pills....I didnt fight it. I felt so much better about an hour later, so we headed to my moms and had dinner with them. We left about 9-9:30 and it had gotten so windy-that right past Diamond (on the road we have to take to our country home) I saw a police car up at the top of one of the hills-and there was another car right in the middle of the road and I thought there was an accident....well, upon getting closer, we saw that this huge tree had fallen across the highway-both lanes. There was a little peice of road where we could drive UNDER the tree, so thats what we did, but the officer had to watch for the cars, because it was at the very top of one of our MANY hills-thank goodness it wasnt an accident! Then we got around the corner from our house and up on this little hill was 12 deer-and thats what WE counted-hard telling how many we didnt see. Mel and Terry said they counted 15 one day when they were headed to my daughters. We have 2 fields of food for them that get planted and 2 ponds, so they stay around a lot. We havent seen any in our field since hunting season really-and were kind of sad about that, cause we were seeing them several times a week!! Alright Jan-just for you-I will start signing my posts Janet. No one ever calls me that, its either Jan, mom or honey! But, dont want anyone to be confused-ecspically another Jan C, so I will sign Janet.....that doesnt mean in person you can call me that! LOL.... I have to say-I saw my ex FIL on Oct 7 2006 at my daughters engagement party and when he saw me on Friday I walked through the door and his jaw dropped to the floor and he stood there and stared at me....I went to give him a hug and he pinched both sides of my face and said OMG Janet you have a face! He told me how good I looiked since he saw me last-and he is a pastor at his church, he wont lie to me. LOL!! Then again yesterday he was talking to me about WLS and the misconceptions alot of people have and dont understand about us...he is so happy that there are things like that for people like me. Said he did slimfast to lose weight, but after the first 25# he couldnt lose anymore and he did it for 3 more months anyway... told him to get away from slimfast because of carbs and then gave him the name of protein drinks we do and recipe for the awesome protein balls....he only has about 20# to lose-so its not major, but he wants to feel better and I understand that his 20 is like my 100, ya know? Jan, will pray for your son. I am sorry about their marriage. I often wondered if the surgery messed with our minds so bad, that our marriages would suffer, because the divorce rates with WLS patients is staggering. I will NOT let that happen!! WE were strong before the surgery-we will stay strong, and if my mind starts playing with something that serious-I WILL GET HELP...I am glad he has a loving and supportive family to help him get through this though-that helps tremendously. Maybe Joe needs some antibiotics? Whenever Mike gets sinus ANYTHING-he ALWAYS ends up on antibiotics...its a shame too, he can catch on fire and not be as miserable as he is when he gets those sinus infections-ARGH...will keep Joe in our prayers. Mel DID get internet back-but there is something funky going on with it-like its not complete or something and they have to use some different number or something. I will see her today at church-and I am looking forward to that. She did say yesterday that she is feeling better. Thank you, God. Told her to get on line and start posting, cause everyone missed and loved her-and those of you who sent personal messages, she did get them...I did tell her about all the prayers and that everyone loved and missed her. Andrew-I am so excited for you. I think you will do wonderful and I am so glad someone like you would be running someplace where they do healthcare. You will be awesome. I took a 2 yr course in 9 months, but went full time days and nights and of course, through the summer. I just wanted it over with as quickly as possible....I was going through my divorce and living on alimony and child support and so I didnt want to be poor any longer than I had to! I got to do my clinicals in a hospital that actually paid me while I did that for 3 months and then ended up in the medical field..I love it. Its never boring and you learn something every day with all the new HIPPA laws, medicare and medicaid and all the insurance changes and regulations-so your job will certainly NEVER be boring!!! BTW-if you let me know what sz shirts you wear, I can keep an eye out for you. I have several larger men in my life and can just keep my eyes peeled. Rachael-OHHHHH....I was so looking forward to meeting you on Monday-are you better now? I sure hope so honey. I am praying for you. I am sorry I never got a chance to call you-but I dont like to call anyone past 9 or so (ask Mel, she gets so mad at me) so whenever I would see the time, figured it was too late, ecsp. with babies and all-I sure hope you feel better soon!! Colette and Tony-I hope your meeting is a HUGE success. I wish we lived closer so could go to yours too. We are going to try and get one started in our area as well, there is nothing there for such a big area we live in and around!! Well, I am going to get breakfast started and do something with my hair before church. My daughter french braided last night insisting it would still look good this morning, but I guess she can just lay down and sleep-I am a tosser/turner and I look like my WHOLE HAND was in the light socket-not just a finger LOL and if I went like this-I dont know what would happen!! Good morning everyone, Just wanted to write before we head out to church and chili dinner afterwards. We had and still have terrific high winds and rain(no snow). It is cold too. I hope the snow stays away so it does not interfere with our travel for our new support group tomorrow nite. Will keep your son in my prayers. that is difficult on a family when the kids split up. You fall in love with the whole family and it is hard when they separate. Jan, you asked about my weight. I have 13 pounds to my personal goal of 140. Dr. H goal for me was 160 and I made that. These last 13 pounds are tuff. So you see the support group will help me too. I am looking forward to the new group tomorrow nite. I have made a few plans for the first meeting. Taking my pictures, some protein balls, name tags and a bottle of water for each. Really anxious for our meetings to start. Tony has put a lot of work into securing a place for us for the entire next year. Yes, I also bought a thank you card so we can sign it and mail it to the church. I am ready for the spring also. I hate driving in this weather. And I have had to go to work in all the snow. Welll, gotta go, so have a great day. Colette

Good Evening Everyone... Jan... we weathered just fine! NO SNOW!! Thank you Lord!! Lots of rain, real windy and coldddddddd but nothing we can't handle! I won't be at the meeting Monday, David and I have plans but we all will meet someday soon! Your garden tunnel sounds cool.
