Introducing myself.. new to MO. site

Hi everyone, My name is Anna I live in IL. about 16 miles from St Louis. I had lap rny last year in Jan. 06 at Barnes Jewish Hospital with Dr. Eagon. I've been a regular on the Jan 06 board and have been reading mainly the IL board. Most on the IL board seem to be up near Chicago so I decide to look on the MO. board to see if maybe there are people closer to St Louis. I see there are a lot of people going for surgery soon and I want to say.. Congratulations to all of you!!! If I had to do it over again I would in a heart beat! Hugs to all, Anna

Welcome Anna...my name is Debbie...when referring to me on here call me Deb M. We have a lot of Debbies on here. I had Lap Band Surgery last month and am very happy I did so! I've lost close to 30lbs and have stop taking all meds for diabetes...heck, most all my meds are gone! Thank you Lord! Well, that's enough for me...welcome to Missouri!

Debbie, I am trying to locate someone who has had a lap band by Dr. Hornbostel from Sedalia. I saw your answer to Anna and noticed you don't live to far from me. Could you give me some info, please or put me in touch with someone who could? I would really appreciate it. Thank you. Pat

Hi there, Anna-Nice to meet you Welcome to the MO board-This board is filled with some of the most supportive, loving, concerned friends you will ever find! They are just like an extended family and I love them all-and I know you will too!!! I have family that lives in IL and my mother was born there and grew up in Downers Grove-do you know where that is? Thats where my family lives. I am not close to St. Louis myself-its 4-5 hrs, but love to go to the museums etc. I had RNY on 11/29/06 in Columbia and I have lost a total of 102# since Aug....I would do this again as well-in a heart beat and recommend it to ANYONE who is as miserable as I was before hand- Its really good to meet you and hope you will become a regular here with us. I usually lurk on the Illinois sites and the MO sites. I work in Missouri and I live in New Baden. This board seems to be more active with people around out area. I agree that Illinois is alot of Chicagoland people. Welcome!
