Hi , I just got back last night from sedalia. Been a long week. Surgery went fine, he had to repair a hiatal hernia (sp) and remove my spleen, so had all the holes and open from belly button to chest. After the second day had no pain meds, I had no pain just really sore, havent taken any since. Felt really bad the first 3 days. Just a long week when you can only have liquids. I also had no gas!! None I stayed till Sat, went to Hotel Bothwell and stayed till Tue. Just kind layed around there, Monday my daughter and I spent the day shopping and visiting the sights around Sedalia. went to the Dr Office for my first visit, lost 18 pounds. Then wwe came home. Had some excitement while in the hosp. we had tornado warnings and everyone on that floor sat huddled in the hall for 3 hrs. Not fun.

Hi Cathy, I am so glad you are home. Boy you went thru alot!!! Was the spleen removal scheduled or was there complications? Congrats on the weight loss tho I know from working in hospitals that tornado warnings are not fun by no means. It makes it so uncomfortable for the patients. Take it easy and try to enjoy the sunshine. Julia
