WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY.
Good Morning and first off: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JANET AND HUBBY...Hope all is well and that you all have something special planned today or tonight or both.
I have had the worst stomach ache all day today. Don't know why or what it is but I wi**** would stop. May be the cabbage I ate Saturday. LOL. You think? Anyway all I have wanted to do today is sleep, im cold and tired and tummy ache, well wonder what else I can whine about.
I am trying to get this typed up early just incase we have some really bad weather and we lose electric. Not suppose to be that bad just lots of rain. They are saying down in our area we will be about 6 inches before all of this is over at the end of the week.
That is ok as long as it doesn't storm too badly. I get all nervous when the wind blows really hard.
Debbie M: hey don't remember if I told you or not but put Joe and I down for your wedding party lol. That sounds like a good thing.
Well did you get any work done in the yard. Forgot do you want some flower seeds for next year. I will save you some if you do. I have some saved from this year but don't know what I have.
I told Julia that I have some 4'oclocks seeds saved but I must have sent them to someone.
I guess she is moving this past week end.
Don't you just love those services that when you walk in the door you can feel the presence of God ?
Janet: I hope you saw my greeting at the first of the post to you and your hubby.
Anyway I am glad that little guy is healing fast. You did a good job. You said your training as a nurse. Did you work as a nurse for long?
The plane and the nosedive into the deep end of the pool did you jump in and save it? Bet tha****er was still cold isn't it?
Keep taking your flexiril as it will keep you from hurting too bad. I had to start with a quarter of a pill 3 times a day and am now up to ½ twice a day.and sometimes 3x had to do that so I wouldn't be asleep all the time.
Rachael: yeah we missed you girl. Glad you got the new job What will you be doing? Is it easier on you that what you do now? Im glad that you are happy about it.
Yes tell your mom that we wont bite I promise. Well there are a couple of girls on here that I cant guarantee what they will do exactly but they try to be good. ( I think you two know who I am talking about) lol
The support meeting is next Monday the 26 at 6:30 please come. Even without your mom. But would love to meet her too.
Melissa: did you get an appointment made for your fil yet? Is this the first time he has acted like this that you know of?
Did you all talk to him and ask him what was wrong? That really worries me. Sure sounds like depression. But don't know what else is going on too.
Hope you are feeling better now that you got the kinks worked out from sleeping in the recliners. I always sleep well in a recliner, and for longer periods of time.
Trudy: glad you finally got the seminar under your belt and done with. One thing down and a lot left to go. Im glad your husband had lots of questions for them that is good.
So you should have your surgery at least by Sept. that will be good and maybe sooner huh?
Lana: cant wait to see the infamous patch work sweatshirt. You want a job of making them for a living? Lol I bet it is really cute.
We will continue to pray for your grandson and his surgery Wednesday. Hope all goes well and will pray for your traveling and your safe arrival .
Wow on the buys at Salvation Army. That is really good prices. I never seem to have the what ever to look thru tons of crap to fine the good stuff in the resale shops.
You are going to go way past me soon and probably already have in sizes.
Vesta:I will bring the crochet items next Monday , well will if I don't forget again lol.
Am looking forward to seeing you then . I bet you are really looking good .
Hope the rain doesn't wash us away. It is suppose to be really heavy down here so told joe to get the boat out and tie it to the back porch lol
If you don't hear from me look for two people in a john boat with our dog floating around the lake of water. Lol
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN

Hello Missouri,
Yesterday I went out at noon and got the button for the neck of the patchwork sweatshirt jacket. It came out really good, the ladies at the fabric store loved it. I am wearing it today to St. Louis. Jan, I do not ever want to make one again but I have the "recipe" if anyone is interested after they see it at the meeting next Monday night. I'll be glad to share the instructions. It is all done on the machine except for turning back the cuffs so it should go fast but I went weeks without working on it at all so it seemed to never be finished.
I'm going to call DD in a little bit and see when she plans to leave for St. Louis. She and DGS are late sleepers when he doesn't have to go to school so I'm not bothering them yet. It will take her about four hours to get there and me only three so I don't want to get there too early. My car is just crammed with stuff to take to her. She gets all the clothes I've undergrown and then she can take the ones she doesn't want to the consignment shop and get the money. It is a small way to help her out.
After I got ready for work today DH said, "New skinny jeans with no butt in them, huh"
I said old skinny jeans but no butt for sure. I saw some undies in Penneys catalog with padding in the rear. Looked like a good idea but knowing me the pads would slip down around my ankles????
All of a sudden I'm wanting to string beads again. I have to go to the bead store and get some sterling crimp beads and then I'll be a stringing fool. I love to take apart bracelets I've already made and re-design them in new ways. It's my therapy and busy work!!! Cooking used to be my creative outlet but that's not happening anymore. I just cook something John can eat and then either eat a little piece of his or make something for myself. I can make taco meat with one pound of hamburger and it lasts me about 5 or 6 meals.
It has poured rain here since last night. I love to ride in the rain, not so sure about driving in it but I'll be fine. I'll just go slower since I'm not on a particular time schedule. We needed the rain on yards and for the flowers. Tulips, daffodils and narcissis were getting thirsty.
Our lawn guy said he mowed his first lawns the last week of March last year and if we get all this rain and it turns off sunny and warm that could happen again. I saw one neighbor mowing this past weekend.
Hope all of you stay dry and have a great Tuesday.
Hugs and love to all,
Lana
Good Morning All!!
Congratulations Janet and Hubby!!! I hope you two have a wonderful anniversary..we did!!
Jan...yes, I got out and did some work yesterday. I got my porch cleaned up, macrame plants hangers ready, chimes and pretty prettys are out. Porch swing to cleaned up and ready for David and I to sit on and watch the world go by. We love to sit there when we have storms, we get a blanket and cuddly up. David usually falls asleep doing that anymore, then he makes more noise then the storms! I just laugh when he does it, I think it's cute...I just smile and keep holding him!
I still have a lot to do outside but got rained out! I was trying to sweep all the leaves off the porch but when it started sprinkling my broom became worthless. The wind blew the rain onto the porch and got them all wet. I was gonna give up then I remembered something David showed me. My back hurt to much to use my gas powered blower so I when into the back of my house to David's workbench and hooked up his air compressor and ran the airhose through the house and out the front door and used that to clear the leaves off....lol Your a redneck when? David loves to say that to me especially when it comes to the mouse I shot through the ceiling! He tells me I have come a long way....since my early days, just out of California!....lol I just tell him, ya think?
Today, I plan on doing inside work. I need to get this house and land in order, quick! I get a funny feeling that we are going to be bought out within the next year or so. We live just a mile from town and a few years back they built a Justice Center (courts, county jail and juvenile courts) just outside the city limits. We we'ren't real happy about it but there was nothing we could do....anyway! They have started clearing out tree lines between here and there...what am I saying...most of the trees and brush between here and there is gone!
All that land was put up for sale awhile back and now their either clearing it so people can get a better view or they are getting ready to build something...big! We have ponds and creeks that run from that property through ours and they will flood us if they build over there! I want this place in ship shape condition in case we do get an offer!
I bought three trees yesterday...one willow and 2 redbuds. I'm not sure what to do with them now....lol I'm gonna go ahead and plant them and we will see what happens. I not going to put this place on hold while the people that run the town decide their gonna do out here!
As for the seeds, I would love all the flower seeds you want to send this way! If nothing else I will hang on to them until we get the orders to move and find a new place but as of right now. I'm planting whatever I want, wherever I want! I have a lot of window boxes that I am going to plant flowers in this year....some will go there, others will go out by my garden and some will go around my new trees. I am redoing my octagon in my circle drive too. I first had it done in wood and now I'm replacing the wood with stone. I will be planting flowers there too. Right now there a few tulips are growing there and several hostas.
(Future dream) I plan on putting single shepard's hooks around the inside of my fenced garden and plan to hang strawberry pots from them using macrame or hemp hangers. The backdrop of this garden is David's garage but it will be turned into a walls of roses, if it all works out!
Yes, I saw your post about our little wedding renewal. If we do have it next year, you and Joe will be on the list!
As for God's Spirit being so strong you can feel it as you come in the door...ohhhh yea!! Love it!!
Well that's all for now..I pray everyone is doing great! Love you all, Deb M

Hi Missouri people.!
I try and read whats happening every day, but don't post much as I'd like. Jan I would love to see that sweat shirt!! I signed up for a quilting class, but it didn't make so need to find something else to work on! Ha!
I have been doing well. Have been on a stall for about three weeks but am trying to drink more and really watch those carbs.
Everyone have a good day!
DKay
Dear Jan and OH Peeps~
Thanks for the anniversary well wishes Jan and Mel...Yes, we have planned a "date" night tonite to go to dinner at Chatters (compliments of Mel and Terrys gift card) and then we are going to see the Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith. Thats if everything goes okay with the little guy today.
His head is really bothering him since last night. He wants to constantly touch it or rub it-not realizing he can break it open. We took the big bandage off-but the butterflys are still on it-we need it to get some air and try and dry out. He was so wound up yesterday that Mike asked me how much sugar/sweets he had had during the day-said none-he drinks crystal light too-no sugar.
Jan-did your son find someone to help fix his car? I sure hope so! I know those situations are so stressful, ecspically with everything else he has going on right now.
My hubby did jump in the pool to retrieve his plane. He stayed in the shallow end though and used the net to fi**** up-I dont think he would have hesitated to go in the deep end had he needed to-not me. Every year when we drain it-there are snakes and the ugliest, meanest looking spiders you ever saw in there-so glad it wasnt me-or it would still be there......
I did nursing for a couple of years, but then stopped-just wasnt for me. I love helping people, but I really didnt do well with older people or small children. Got too emotionally attached and involved. That should be a blessing, but instructor told me otherwise and didnt like the fact I was too caring-and so I still do medical work, just dont administer any type of treatments or whatever. I was offered a job with hospice making really good money 2 yrs ago-but knew that would drain me emotionally, so I turned it down, it was hard enough working at the Cancer Institute for 3 years.....I still get weepy when I see one of the patients I worked with in the obituarys.
Well, I can say I havent heard/seen it rain this hard in a couple of years-I thought the house was going to blow down in the middle of the night. I couldnt get on this morning due to the lightning, but its taken a short break-so decided to get my posting done while I could.
Spent most of my day yesterday on the phone trying to help my mom out with her housing/health issues-have a few more calls to make today and then am suppose to go and run errands, but dont want to take Jon out in case his head gets wet-because the wound could re-open and that wouldnt be good-so I think we are staying in for the day and just hanging out. He keeps asking why he cant take a shower...poor little guy....am glad the pool isnt open yet-because we are in it everyday that weather permits-so he would really be having a cow right now (well, not today, but you get the point)
Well, better get off here and get some chores done, protein and vitamins and so on. I hope everyone has a good Tuesday.....I will be praying for everyone on the roads today (Mel & Terry, Lana and her daughter and grandson and anyone else) Please be careful!!! Love to all, Janet
