I'm home from St. Louis.
Hello Missouri,
I am happy to report that I'm home from St. Louis and Adam's surgery went well. Thanks to all of you for holding all of us up in prayer. It was a little more complicated than we had anticipated but the way they did it he doesn't have staples so that means he doesn't have to have a second surgery to remove the staples. So, all in all, it was a good thing. He was sooooooo scared but he did great and this AM woke up in a much better mood and felt much better. He's still on pain meds but they went home and I think he'll feel even better at home. He and Stacy were both worn out from the emotion and his pain but I called her while we were both on the road, them going north and me going south, and he was sleeping so that was a blessing. He has to go back in six weeks for a check-up and to remove the boot that he has to wear 24 hours a day except for bathing and PT. He has to have a wheelchair for school but thank God for Shriners Hospital, they loaned him a wheelchair, walker and crutches. It is a wonderful charity. Also, the Haven House where we stayed was great. $25/night and it included breakfast and dinner. Another charity that is worthy of mention.
I haven't read all your posts since I left, will do that at work tomorrow.
Know that I love you all and will see you at COF on Monday night.
Hugs and love,
Lana
