Newest Sugar update

Just got off the phone with Sugar. They admited her last night and they found an absess where else, but the drain site. She said she hear them talking at the nurses station that they would be taking her down to surgery this morning. She is so scared about going back to surgery and wanted to know if there was anyway they could get it to go away with out surgery. She said they have ivs in her and antibotics running in too . But good news is there is no internal bleeding. Im sorry girls i really forgot to ask what the address is there. She is in DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. I guess we can look it up I dont really want to call her back right now. She was so tired . Just everyone please pray for her I havent had any sleep up pacing and praying most of the night. Dear Jan, Well, At least they finally found out what was wrong with her and can get it fixed-thank the Lord. Poor thing, I KNOW she is sooo tired-but she will make it through this-she is a fighter, just like you-right? We will be praying for her and her family and you. Jan thank you for posting. I have been thinking about her non stop. Alot of prayers also. This just makes you dislike drains even more doesn't it? Tell her we all love her and praying for an easy recovery. Hugs, Tara

Thanks Tara for praying for her. Yes i just dont know about the drains....I have had 3 abdominal surgerys and have never had a drain and if a doctor told me they were going to put one in i think i would go find another doctor lol. Jan

Jan Thanks so uchf or the update on Sugar. I know she doesnt want to go back in for surgery. Lord willing maybe she wont have to. We will just keep her in our prayers that weither she does or doesnt that the Lord guides the surgeons hands and brings her thro this. I will try and post the address when I find it. I talked to a nurse practiciner that is a friend of mine and she says that they may just be able to lance it and drain the site and then will pack it and she will have to change the dressing daily forcing it to heal from the inside out rather than outside in like it has. thanks for careing. Jan

Jan, I'm so sorry all of you have to go through this....it can be as tough or tougher on family when I loved one is sufferring....you'll all be in my prayers. please keep us posted!! Tami
