To Doctor Hornbostel

Doctor, You didn't do my surgery, I have St. John's insurance in Springfield and adore my surgeon, Dr. Christopher Edwards. However, I think you are one of the finest men/surgeons I have ever heard about. And I don't say this lightly as I worked for doctors in California for fifteen years and knew some really great men. Your level of concern and caring for your patients is incredible. The fact that your hospital is a COE and that you take Medicare patients, when most surgeons don't want to fool with them, makes me admire you so much. Everyone on this board thinks you are a Godsend and I agree with them. Just the fact that you take time from your busy life/schedule to come onto the board and give us information is proof of your love for your patients and bariatric patients in general. Lana thank you for you lovely letter to a wonderful and great Doctor/surgeon. As you know i did have him for a surgeon for my wls and i consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world to have had his skill and caring taking care of me. Im sure your post will be greatly appreciated . He knows how all of us that have had him feel about him but to have a non patient say these things about him should be something special . Lana: Dr. Hornbostel did my surgery on March 5th, 2007 and I agree with you wholeheartedly! He and Margie are great people!! I've never had a surgeon give me his home phone number when I left the hospital. (I think he gives this number and his cell phone number to all his wls patients). I'm really glad he did too because I had a 102 temp by the time I got home that day. I called and he and Margie were wonderful! Called me in a prescription that same night and even called me to let me know there was a Walgreen's in town that stayed open until 10 (it was around 8:30 a.m.) Dr. Hornbostel if you read this, I hope you know how much we all respect and appreciate the work you and your wife, Margie, are doing! Thank you for helping us regain our health! I truly believe you both have been a God sent in my life! May He bless you today and always! Debbie D.

I have to agree with the rest of the ones who have had Dr Hornbostel. I know the man and God gave me my life back. Hi to Marge and Dena and rest of the office gang. HUGS and THANK YOU SO MUCH......God Bless....Craig Lee
