Another Newbie

Hi all There have been so many new ones on here I thought I may as well jump in too. I am just starting this process although I have been researching wls for a couple of years now. I must admit I am a lurker and really enjoy your post. I feel as though I know most of you personally. I have learned so much by just reading your post. I am from Sedalia and really want Dr H to do my surgery. He is an exceptional doctor. I am planning on going to his seminar in June. I have recently had to leave my job and go on disability because of my back, so I can really relate to those of you that are going thru all the pain with your back. I have been going to a pain clinic in columbia but I have to say that it has not done much to help with the pain. Not the docs fault he is really good, its my darn back, really bad!!!! And I know this weight doesn't help any. Well you all keep posting and I will keep praying with you (I read all the prayer requests and add them to my list). The lord is my savior, without him I would be nothing. God Bless.....

Hi Beverly, I too am a newbie but I just wanted to say *WELCOME*! I went to Dr H's seminar this past tuesday---he is AWESOME. He made me feel very comfortable and not like i was some freak of nature for being overweight. He seems to truly care for his patients. I live in Osage Beach about an hour or so from Columbia. I did go to the seminar this month but if you'd like someone to go with you to next month's, I volunteer! I was really nervous the first time so if you'd like I'll go with you. I highly suggest taking any family member who is not in agreement with your decision to have the surgery. He explains everything in detail and will answer any questions you have. Oh, and of course take anyone who does agree also lol. I'll keep you in my prayers for you back I know how it is. I get a lower lumbar epidural every other month. Hi Beverly welcome to the board. We love having new people to join us. Hope I or someone can help in some way. I see where you are expecting your first great great grandbaby soon. I have 3 of the little ones now. they are just as precious as the grands were. lol. So glad to hear that you are going to Dr. Hornbostel. He is the best in my book. I havent had a minutes worth of trouble. He is a great surgeon and a great man too. He really cares about his patients.
