Hi Tammy; Welcome to the board. I am probably one of the oldest out if not the oldest that post here. I am 4 years out and Dr. H is my Dr. The only thing I would do different would be to do it sooner. The best thing I have ever done for myself and my family. Please read my profile. Hi there Tammy, Very nice to meet ya!! Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!! I did not have Dr. H, but have been a member of this board for a long time-and I have only heard positive and reassuring things about him-I have never heard a bad word about him-I think you will be very pleased!! I had my surgery in Columbia last November 29th-and I have lost 154#, and like the others-would do it again in a split second-I wouldnt even have to "think" about it-the changes that have occured in my life-blow my mind-and make me tear up to this day, when I speak of the WOW moments~It IS a wild ride-but I believe you will find with our particular board-you WONT BE ALONE-and you can post just about anything-and we are there for you-we understand the frustration of the waiting, the anxiousness, the anticipation and everything else.  I have a VERY supportive family-but it sure is different to have the support of so many that have been there and done that-and these people here are like family-and I love them as if they are my family-I hope that you will become a regular poster on Jans whats happening thread and let us get to know you-we care about you-if its weight related or not-We would LOVE to hear about you and what your up to-please come back!! Hi,Tammy, nice to meet you! I am also waiting for a consult.  I was just approved by insurance today!!!! I am so happy, but like you, am very anxious to get on with this!!! I have been told, " anything worth having, is worth waiting for", Well, let's get to it!!! Hope we can encourage one another through the waiting process. I, like you,have just discovered the message board, and have no clue how to post, so I will ask you for instruction.
