Hey, I have been using the IsoPure bottled drinks. You can get them through GNC. I ordered some of those protein vials that should be coming in pretty soon as well. The IsoPure has 40 grams of protein in them. The vials I am getting have 25 I believe. I hope that helps. Cheryl

My fiance brought some home for me lastnight. He was anxious for me to try one. I tried the blue raspberry and it was good. Do not drink them when they are warm you will not like them..LOL. Oh, just to prepare you...you MAY start your ladies day a day or two after surgery....even if you had it recently anyway. I did and my RN there told me it was because my body was in shock over the surgery and so it is trying to have menstration. Weird huh?

I may be on my cycle going into surgery. I should start mine any day. SO I may just get to enjoy and extra long cycle. I bought a case of the fruit punch. I've about gone through it.  How are you rincisions looking? When do you get your drain out?

Poor thing . My incisions are good. They used glue on mine...except where my drain is. Man and this drain is a PAIN! My fiance has to hold it while I wash my hair and body..in the shower. You don't want it to hang because it could fall out. I get mine out Monday. I have an incision on my left that has hurt worse than the others...but Dr. Ramaswamy says it does hurt more cause she accidently cut through a vessel. It has a nice bruise on it right now..as she said it would..I am doing really well. No dumping, no vomiting, nothing. I went into this at 206 and I today I weighed in at 187. So, not too bad. Keep me updated on your big day. :)

I saw your post and I wanted to reply to you. You mentioned that when you shower you have your DF hold your drain for fear of it falling out. Sweetie that is the least of your worries!!!! You can ask anyone that has had a drain. There is approx 1 to 2 feet of hose in you. It would be extremely hard for it to just fall out. Without someone jerking the fire out of it. I know you will be glad to get rid of it tho. We all were totally happy to get our drains removed. Take care Mel

Hi, I wouldn't be afraid of it falling out had my nurse not pinned it to my gown with a safety pin and her words to me, "do not leave this un-pinned and if you have to, have someone help you in the shower." I am a worrier too...so that doesn't help..LOL I get mine out Monday THANK GOD.  Cheryl

Hey~ That is weird. Well, I'm hoping I get it out that day. I will be irritated if I don't. I think I might be getting an infection in my drain site area. It's pinkish and warm to the touch and burning. I have no idea. Anyway, good luck with your surgery for Monday.  Cheryl
