New poster--starting the ball rolling for the Lap Band
welcome to the Missouri board. You will find that most of us do have thr RNY or having the RNY but there are a few that have the lap band surgery done. Doesnt matter what you have done you will need a good support group that you can visit with daily. We have some great and wonderful people on here and between all of us someone will be able to answer any question you might have. If we cant we can stear you toward where you might find it.
I post a whats Happening thread daily please feel free to post theere daily and let us know more about what you are facing each day or what you did the day before or what ever. We are listening.

Hi Amber!
My name is Karen. I am right over here in Wright City, just down the road from you.
I am having the Lap Band surgery on the 27th. Have you found a Dr. yet/ I am going to St. Louis to have my surgery, but I believe that my surgeon also works out of the hospital there in Troy. He has an office in Wentzville. (Dr. Follwell)
I am glad you posted here. There is a lot of helpful info around here, and I think that it helps just to know that you are NOT alone! Hug-Hug Karen
I'm a bandster! Welcome to the board. I started at 368 pounds on the day of surgery. I am 3 years post op this week and now I am 269 pounds. I have had a slow loss, but I', much healthier! I would do this again in a minute! I love my band and I'm still working towards my goal of 199.
Best wishes!
Janet
