weigh in at dr

Well... Deena called yesterday and told me that she had my records from the Shriners Hospital about my hip, and she wanted me to come in today and weigh in again.    So, I did and I weighed 213.6!!!!!!  I never thought that i would be so happy to have gained weight.  i am now over the 100 pound mark that tricare requires for wls.  She is going to put that in with my records and resend it to tricare as new information and hopefully they will accept it without having to go through the appeals process.  So here I am with my hopes up again,  I just hope that I don't have to go through all of this again.   thanks for listening,  Layla

I know some people may not understand or symphathize with the position you are in having to gain weight to get your insurance to pay. I know it is just as hard for you to lose the weight the "old fashoined" way as it was for me and my BMI was 52 when I had WLS. I am happy that things are hopefully turning in your favor.  Good luck on getting your approval. Dannielle

congradulations on getting approval hopefully. With your medical problems there shouldnt be the weight restricktions but i guess they think so. Tricare is usally pretty easy to get approval from i think Dena will do all she can i know . She is pretty smart about all of that stuff.
