Support Groups

Hi All,  I'm from Minnesota and looking for support groups for a friend in Kansas City, MO who's in need of the surgery.  Anyone know of any?? Thanks so much! Kris

I don't, sorry but we've had people come from KS to the Circle of Friends Bariatric support group in Springfield! I couldn't beleive they came so far!!! But we were more than happy to have them. I hope someone can help you with info for that area. you could always check the local surgeons in that area or with the hospitals......maybe they have a webpage with support groups listed like our Local COXHEALTH does. FYI to all, although the Circle of Friends support group isn't affiliated with a hospital, we were lucky enough that Cox has listed us in their online listing of support groups in the area and just today in the mail I rec'd their quarterly magazine and on page 13 we are listed there with many other support groups! COOOOOOLLLLL!!!!!!!!! I hope folks who weren't aware of us yet may inquire now! I'll see everyone MONDAY at 6:30!!! Tami

There is a group at Blue Springs a subburb of K.C. that is not hospital affilated that she probably could go to. is led by a friend of mine, Colette Swan. will shoot off a email to her and ask her to respond to you. Jan

My name is tony,And for your question'Yes there is one in the Kansas City area,It is located off of 291 South and Woods Chapel Rd. Its on the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00pm.This month it is on the 25th. ( Take I-70 to 291South,go about 3 or 4 miles to Woods Chapel Rd exit,then make a left to the second light,then another left at the second light onto the outer belt rd,Should be the second building on the right with alot of tinted windows and a big parking lot ( 4001 N.E.
