WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Another Monday morning and we have the Circle OF Friends meeting tonight at 6:30 . Am anxious to see every one. I hope all the regulars come along with the newbies.

We will have a full house if everyone shows up.

 

We went down to the lake yesterday and spent about an hour there doing water exercises. It helped my neck while there and some afterwards. Would be nice if I could live in there.

 

Hey does anyone know if you can use food stamp to buy protein powder in a grocery store? My granddaughter wants to know she wants to start using the protein powder for a couple meals a day and then a high protein one for supper to lose some weight.

She thinks my fruit smoothies are wonderful and so that is what she wants to have.

 

L.Ward is having surgery today Monday the 25^th. She hasn’t been on a lot but we can still remember her in prayer. Hope you have a wonderful, great , uneventful surgery with no complications in the recovery room….

 

Joe made real peanut butter cookies last night. Oh my lord they smelled so good but I didn’t really want one. That is so weird. Before surgery I would die if I didn’t eat one or two of them but now I just don’t want one , really .

 

Well the little bit of money I make on my job really is making a difference. We are going to have money left over at the end of the month lol. That is great. Im really proud of me. Lol

 

TAMMY: Hi sweetie, no you wont feel quite up to par for a few days. But you should have been building up your strength by doing a little at a time before now. You will be ok you will just have to build the strength now. Lol. It is nice that everyone thought they needed to help you so much. That would be nice.

I wish Susan would really get back on board. I hope she doesn’t do like a lot of them do and not show up any more . I know she has been on here since she got home but not a lot.

I don’t know who is Beths angel not sure I really know who Beth is? Sorry Beth there are so many new girls on here. So hope you are doing great and that it wasn’t you in the hospital across from Susan. Let us know how you are doing please.

 

No they aren’t going to work me back to back anymore. I told her the other day that I couldn’t work like some of the other girls do. I just cant do it.

Yeah getting new bras and panties is a neat thing to do. And got enough to be able to have them without having to go wash. Lol

I remember when I was young and living on my own that I only had one of each . it was my nightly ritual to wash and dry those two pieces. Lol several times they were put on slightly damp. Not comfortable at all.

 

So what did you do on Sunday?

 

 

COLETTE: Wow Im jealous about you being able to sleep 7 hours. My sleep cycle is like 3 hours and then im awake for at least 2 hours then back to bed for another 3 hours.

 

Now Colette celery isnt considered a vegetable , at least to me lol. Im talking about brussel sprouts, asparagus, green beans, things like that.

I consider celery with p.butter on it more protein. But it does sound good. ‘

Yeah you are like me or I like you which ever the case may be. We started off a lot less weight than others did or do so we aren’t going to lose as much as fast.

I have lost 85 pounds now and really really want to lose 100 pounds. Don’t know if I will make it or not , that amount will make me weigh 162 and I weigh 177 now. That is only 15 pounds but it is hard this far down.

 

 

 

JANET: I hurt for Melissa. I know maybe some of where she is. I had fibroid tumors in my uterus and in my tubes also caused lots of pain. Back then there wasn’t much they could do about anything except do a hysterectomy  but that isnt the case now.

I also had pelvic inflammatory disease. That is what cause more pain than anything . Couldn’t walk , sit or stand or even lay without pain. Bless her heart I know she is in pain. And hope they do something soon.

 

Can you and Nutti not come to the meeting even if Melissa doesn’t feel like it? I know you wont want to but we would love to see you anyway. And would love to meet Nutti.

Yeah they could probably schedual me for less hours but my neighbor and I ride together

Since it is so far and gas so high we only take the one truck. Lots cheaper.

So I would be just stuck waiting for her.

 

I never have gotten my stepping stones made yet. But I will bring your molds back to you tomorrow night.  Did you all use mortar mix for those that you did and the one that Jon did for me?         

 

Yeah the farther out you get the harder it is to lose the weight.but as long as you stick to the plan that we are suppose to stick to you can lose. Just may be slower.

I think you and Melissa have both done great. WOW moments.

 

You sure have had more than your share of bad stuff happening lately haven’t you?

Sure wish I could do something for you to make your day seem a little better. Take care of yourself and give Melissa a hug for us.

CRAIG:  Leta is going to a cancer hospital? I thought she was going to have a tummy tuck done? What gives?

Good luck on the job interview. You would do really well at something like that I would think. I know money is getting tight for everyone it seems. The amount you get doesn’t increase and the price of things keeps going up and up.

 

You thought it was hot the other day? It was hot but the heat doesn’t bother me that much any more. Last year I would not have been able to sit out there in the heat at all.

Ok eveyone tell me how it felt to get the drain out. Be honest now. Remeber I will be 10 days out and possibly on no pain meds. I may take a does before going in to get it pulled just for safe measure. My nephew is so cute. He saw me show my sister my battle wounds yesturday and he's of course asking why. We tell him the doctor put them there and they will be gone soon. He sat on my knee and just gibber gabbered away. He left and came back and saw me later that evening and says "grandma does auntie Erin still have that on he belly." It was so cute. I told him next time I see him I wont have it. They live an hour away in Topeka. We were in Topeka looking for houses yesturday. We found a great house. We just have to see what the numbers look like which I am going to work on today. I'm hoping to go to my work today and say hello. I still have one person I want to tell face to face that I wont be coming back. Only two people know and lucky I can trust them not to tell. I'll probably go in and tell teh DON and HR person verbally and write a written notice a little later. They know it is coming just didn't know it would be when I was off for my leave. P.S. I went to put my rings back on. They are already falling off of me. Yeah the ring I couldn't get off for surgery no is loss. lol And yea I did get it off after 3 days of steriod creams on my hands to heal them up.

Good Morning Jan ! Haven't been able to post much lately due to working working working !!  I can SO understand where you are coming from on the job front.  Whew for sure.... I am now working THREE jobs.  The only day that I have off weekly is Sunday and of course that would make that lawn mowing day.  I mowed the entire front yard, back yard and WAY back yard (over 2 acres worth) by myself with a push mower.  Mike was trimming the hedges and trimming.  Needless to say we were both bushed beyond belief by the time we were finished. But boy does it look good !...  afterwards we lite the tiki torches on the back deck and enjoyed a lettuce salad and Mike grilled two ground chuck patties.  Boy did they taste good!... We are both doing good on the eating plan.  We were welcomed with some pretty substantial totals this am.  Mike is 12 lbs. and I am down 13 lbs.  Even though I know we sweat off a "ton" of fluids yesterday I will still take the loss on the scale.  We kept stopping to guzzle water and Crystal Light all day long yesterday while working.  We each drank 2 liters of water or Crystal Light. I just finished my boiled eggies a bit ago and am now slowly sipping a cup of hot coffee.  Going to have to get off of here and get dressed in just a few minutes for work... wish that I could just stay home and putter around the house.  Tonight I will have to take care of laundry for the upcoming week as I will be working Tuesday thru Saturday evening at either Cracker Barrel or the other restaurant.  So I will be running for sure!... Hope that your neck continues to get better.  I know that it must pain you some...  darn it! Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~ Well, yesterday, for the most part-was a lazy day for me. I decided NOT to go to town for anything-it could/would wait for today....and I couldnt do laundry-so I did some other chores and got to work on the pool area-which we call Cabana Mikes-had to go through the tiki torches, got the gazebo tore down, except the ends-which we are going to use to help shelter us from the hot sun (are rebuilding, but with other materials that wont bend with the wind), pulled and burned weeds, Mike mowed-and I got ambitious and made lasagna and a strawberry yogurt pie for dinner.

The boys helped me layer the lasagna and helped mix the pie-and Jon was so excited-he didnt want to let Darrel do anything- He was so proud when everyone liked it-and it was REALLY good, but I only got 4 bites and I was done-Mike finished mine as well as his own huge piece-LOL...The pie was DE-LISH....I put fresh cut up strawberries on top-and its probably one of the best things I have tasted since surgery-felt guilty almost-like I shouldnt be eating it-cause it tasted way too good to be healthy-LOL...Anyway-I made a huge batch of lasagna so that Mike can just heat it up for him and the kids tonite IF I get to go to the meeting, and I made some for my parents and for Terry and his dad as well. So, IF Mel gets to go-then Terry will be taken care of for dinner as well and she wont have to worry about it. After dinner, we all went in the pool for awhile and then we came in and got our p.j.s on and had our pie...Mike and I got some time to talk-and he knew some things were bothering me, but I never go into all the details, because his job is so darn stressful without adding a lot of other stresses to it! I only talked to 3 people on the phone yesterday-my mom, Mel and then Susan. The girls both called-but as soon as they started complaining about one another-told them I had to go and I would talk to them later on today. Decided I was going to have ONE day that I didnt have to deal with anything un-necesary-LOL. So, all in all-it was a laid back day, which was nice-but if we dont get the water back on soon-I am gonna have to go to the laundry mat-and I sure HATE that place!! Jan-keep the stepping stone molds until next month-I know you will bring them back-and to be honest-I really am not going to have time to even do them this next month anyway between the sale, the wedding, then 2 weeks later the reception out here-and then Mikes best friend from Texas is coming to visit the end of July and so we are pretty busy with this next month coming up!! Keep them and we will shoot for July-ok?  As far as what we used to make them-I bought the individual bags sold at the Hobby store to make mine-I knew it would be cheaper to buy a bag of concrete and mix it-just didnt know how much and all of that-so I bought the individual bags-which Im sure where more expensive than one big old bag-LOL...I dont even know what mortar is-is it a type of concrete? To answer your question-YES, your grand-daughter can purchase protein powder with food stamps. One of my friends who got food stamps bought me a container of it with hers, thats how I know-and that was just a couple months ago-so I dont think the rules have changed yet. Nuttis name is Lynette. About the meeting-IF Mel doesnt go-no, I wont be able to go-because all I have to drive right now is that land yacht (GMC Suburban-HUGE) and it would cost roughly $60 round trip for me to drive it to the meeting and I just cant swing that right now and I know Nutti was having van problems-My daughter said I could use her car-BUT...Aaron works nights and so I would have to be home by 9 pm so he could get to work on time-and there is just no way that could happen, and we cant let Aaron use the Suburban (cause its not ours yet) so.... We will just wait and see how Mel is feeling today! I know IF they have her come in and poke on her-she is going to be in rougher shape than she is now-and right now-she isnt doing well without anyone touching her-so I sure hope they dont...but at the same time-I hope they quit making her wait and do something before she is in a really bad situation! OK-so we have L. Ward having surgery today and then we have Nutti having surgery on Weds....2 more losers to our bench this week-how amazing!! Our bench is growing like wild weeds-and I love it-and I love the testimonials of it all. Mel and I got to witness to a lot of people with weight issues during the sale because, of course, we had our clothes from before surgery out there-all the way up to 6x-and so a lot of them asked questions or talked to us about it-because they wanted to have it or have been trying-we geered everyone towards our site and even got to refer them to Columbia-so that was nice. Jan-so happy your neck is feeling better. I am still trying to find a reasonable pool for you. My sister in law is calling the people that she sold my old pool to-to see if they still have it, she said she thought after they got it-that they decided to get an inground pool instead-so she was going to check and see if that happened or not and if they do have it-how much they would sell it for.  Im also excited for you and the panties etc-its nice to have enough to last for the whole week. I remember just having a couple pair too-and my problem was finding ones that fit correctly because of how big I was. Yikes. Thank goodness I ws never in an accident-I would have died of embaressment at times-they looked so ragged when I threw them out!! It sure feels good now-to be able to go in and purchase a whole pack of undies for less than the price of one pair at a big girls shop!! The smaller the sizes get-the cuter they get too-have you noticed that? I really really hope to see everyone tonite-I think it would do my soul some good-like milk doing a body good-LOL...I LOVE the COF and the people and I always feel so much better mentally afterwards. **Elizabeth-sounds like you have a yard like ours-but I would never be able to do all of it with a push mower-we have mowed just a couple of acres with it before-while the other one is using the riding lawn mower-but we have about 10 acres that we keep mowed and such-so IF we did it all with a push mower-it would take a long time to get it done, and then we would just have to start over again as soon as we were finished-LOL...I sure love the look of a mowed lawn tho- Love the tiki torches too-we have 10-12 of them around the pool area-and its one of my favorite times of the evening-to go out and light them and the citronella candles and just sit out there and look at the stars etc...I dont know how you keep all your work schedules straight-but Im glad it works for you!! Take it easy though and dont over do it!! Erin-Congrats on the house-I hope the numbers work out for you and that you will be done with the hunting for it. The drain doesnt "hurt" when they take it out-its a really weird feeling though-it feels like your insides are moving around-LOL-well, because they are-but its not painful-just a gross feeling (to me anyway) I actually told my doc to hurry up, at one point, because it felt so weird and I just wanted it over with! It reminded me of a clown pulling that hanky out of their pockets-cause she just kept pulling and pulling and pulling-and I remember thinking-is this really a drain hose or the hose from a fire truck? **Sus-it was so good to talk to you honey. I hope and pray that your back feels better soon. It sounds like you are much better off at home than at the hospital. Im sorry you had the issues with that evil nurse, wish I would have been there to kick butt and take some names-but its all over with now-and your NEW Life has begun-YAY... IM so happy for you. Well, its time for me to get everything done and call Mel and see what the doc said. I am going to put some pain patches on my knees and lower back and get the day started-got a late start this morning because our power went off twice and had to reboot and all of that-ARGH....Anyway-I hope to see a lot of you tonite, and as always-your in my thoughts and prayers. Howdy yall..... Looks like it's going to be a nice hot day down this way... Joe moved our pool yesterday and it's just about filled back up again....I don't think it will take near as long to warm up as it did a month ago when we put it up!!! I can't wait till I can get in it again..I think a few hours lounging in the pool is sooo relaxing...and I plan on using mine to do some exercising so it wont be as hard on my back and all....I think I only have one more week till I can get in it again....have to look that up and see.... I kept him and the kids busy yesterday moving stuff for me....My oldest daughter gave me her bedroom suite and her new washer & dryer cause they didn't want to have so much to move when they get around to moving there things to N.Carolina..... Today I hope to get things picked up and cleaned back up to normal...... Tuesday I am taking one of my close friends to cape to the hospital...I can never memeber what it's called but she has to have that precedure done where they do the balloon thru your veins and put in the stents....She's pretty scared cause last time she bled so much...So if yall will.... please pray for her!!!! Jan....Glad you got some relief with your neck. If you get time I'd love to have your fruit smoothie recipes...I can't have them for a bit longer but I'm getting kind of tired of plan ole shakes....

Helloooo all! as I havent heard anything form Mel or Janet Im assuming we are still a go. so I will be ready to meet everyone! very excited with just 2 days to go. Jan...my name is Lynette but everyone calls me nutti but you can call me whichever you are comfy with. we spent the day yesterday tie dyeing t-shirts...we had a great time. Im hoping to wear one of our creations tonight...washing them now.  we had a small party here on Sat night and had a great time swiming in the pool enjoying the tiki torches and all of the fairylights we have up all over the backyard. wish the moon would have been out. but it was nice. tomorrow is the last time I will swim in the pool for a month so I will enjoy it one last time...it better not rain!  looking forward to learning much tonight. nutti

Hey all!!  I don't have too much to post really b/c my mind can only think about the fact that I was APPROVED!!!!!!!!!  I just can't believe it....Jon and I were eating lunch when mom called and I burst into tears and started bawling right in the middle of the restaurant! When mom and I called first thing this morning, our insurance told us that the NURSE on the review board had DENIED my claim saying that I didn't have sufficient 6 months documentation of diet...but then it went on to the DOCTOR and he overrode her and APPROVED it!!!!  YESSS!!! I am so psyched, and I'm equally psyched about coming to COF in a few hrs and meeting some/most of ya'll!!  I'm bringing a HUGE notebook to take notes in and my arms will be fully HUG ready :-D I still need to pack for vacation on Wednesday....yeah....haven't done it yet.  HA  Haven't even thought bout what I want to take....maybe I should do that?  hehe Anywho, I'm gonna go walk the dog and walk on the treadmill probably before I get ready to go tonight so I love ya'll and I hope ya'll are having as good a day as I am!!! July 16 here I come!

Hey OH and Jan Well my van is fixed and my headache is finally gone. I have so much to do today so this wil be inda short. I went to my friends pool party on Sat and then to the mother, daughter picnic yesterday. We had a great time. I am hoping everyone is feeling better. The message board hasn't been as active in the last few days. Mel, hope you are feeling better. I miss my angel posting. Janet, hope things are going better for you. Sometimes we just have to make the world go away for a little while. With the new technology sometimes that makes it hard. I love my cell phone but sometimes me and DBF go out and I accidently forget to take my cell hone. I like to go out sometimes and have NO interupptions. Susan,if you are reading this I would still l.ove to hear that recipe for the salad you made when Janet and Mel came over. Lana, so glad to see you back from vacation. We all missed you.
