WHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

I took my granddaughter to Target today , they were suppose to have Luv diapers on sale well no when we got there they were all out , so sorry….Truck will be in tomorrow. But yeah but the sale goes off today. Oh I know we ran out. Don’t you just hate it when companies do that stuff. Oh yeah they had plenty of pampers at a higher price. I think that is called bait and switch. Isnt it?

 

We have had a couple of instant downpours today. And I mean really hard ones like so hard that you would think about getting an ark if it went on for a few hours.

Our lake is up a lot. We have had more rain this spring and early summer than we usually do.

 

Well tomorrow getting to the bottom of the pond up front and the leak is on the agenda. I am determined to find out why . The pond doesn’t have leak in it but when the pump is turned on for somereason it will pump itself dry in about 10 hours. Don’t understand. Doesn’t appear to be a leak but there has to be a leak in the line up to the water fall or something like that.

We also bought a pump for the other pond and will be hooking it up to the old fashioned pump that we have you know like is on a cistern. Or well?

 

When I get it all figured out and the area cleaned up will take a picture to put online.

 

Don’t go to wor****il Thursday at 3 till 9pm. That wont be too long. Just wonder how long it will be before they realize how much of a team Maxine and I are. Last Saturday me and her did 5200.00 in 8 hours and the next shift only had 4 hours but they didn’t do anywhere of half of us. They only did about 200.00 worth. And this isnt the first time we do this just about every time we work together. Lol Don’t mean to ring our own bell but it is the truth. I love helping people and have a good time when Im working the floor.

It is like a big party and I send them out just laughing and talking . is fun. I wish I could do it more but my knees and feet don’t or wont take it. Just isnt fair really. When I find something that I really like doing my body says oh no you don’t.  Oh well.

 

BEVERLY  B: Your sleeping habits sound like mine. I sleep for about 3 to 4 hours and get up and am up till I get sleepy again in about 2 hours and then go back to bed for another 2 to so hours lol  I have learned to give myself permission to take a nap any time I need it anymore. As long as I don’t have to be somewhere I just go lay down and sleep. Feels good. Lol

Thank God for Dawn huh? Glad you got to go to the seminar. That just seems like a con for you to have to pay for some sort of classes.That just doesn’t seem right. I guess people are always trying to make an extra dollar anyway they can.

 

We do have some awesome meeting at the Circle of Friends….Hope you can come someday. We have people coming from Sedalia once in a while and even from Kansas . Not all the time but sometimes.

So any time you want to come down , come on down.

 

 

ELIZABETH : Lol guess I got your and Janets acreage mixed up on the mowing. I don’t mow and Joe doesn’t do much ,we have so much of it filled with flowers and walkways so he uses a weed eater more than a mower.

 

Well sure wish you could have been there last night. You would have had a great time. And yeah by now I probably wouldn’t know you anymore. Lol

I have heard that about vinegar before , lots of times . I rememeber hearing that when I was young and that it worked. My grandma use to do that. She swore that it worked. And did it every day till the day she became to ill to do so.

 

 

 

SUSAN : I read your post about your terrible time you had in the hospital. Im like Rachael, all it takes is one bad nurse to really make your life miserable and to tarnish the names of nurses. And 20 good ones to get a great comment from the people.

 

Glad you are staying around. Yes everyone that has surgery and then can even answer one answer for a pre op you have done your job that day. Makes things easier for the new ones coming along.

 

What did I say about pancakes? Maybe I was asleep lol

I know you will find a good and even great job in your new town. Any one will be lucky to get you. Evidentlly you are very passionate about your job. That is great.

Hope things go so good for you and your husband in his job transfer and the start of your new life.

 

 

RACHAEL: So glad that your baby girl is better and I know you are missing your son by now.

The first time I ate one I thought it was too good to be true. Tasted like I was cheating for sure.

I know I remember being like that , feeling that I would fail and I still feel that way too. I really don’t think I have done that well really. Others that are only about 3 months out have lost more than I have in 10 months.

You have really done well. Really.

 

 

GLENNA : Yep we are really blessed to have Claudette be our leader in the support group aren’t we? Im the same way about looking forward to the next meeting as soon as this one is over. Cant wait to see who will show up next.

Jan   ya that sounds like a bait and switch to me, hate when the stores do that. have a question i seen the email from Dena, does that mean now that we have to be on a supervised diet with dr for 6 months 1st now?

Good Morning all, Doing one of my famous, "pop ins"!  Still sitting here in my pjs trying to get my coffee in and get ready to leave in about a half an hour for Columbia.  Cant wait to see if I lost anything and to get this stupid drain out.  This thing sucks, hehe, yes pun intended!!!  But really was anyones so long when you sat down in the bathroom in layed on the floor?  Yikes, I think they made mine about 2 1/2 feet long!!  Oh well what a smart idea huh?  Keeps all the yucky stuff out!  I guess I better get out of here.  Sorry I didnt get to address anyone this morning, but will be back Friday.  I hope someone opens the Chatroom and you all go.  Love ya, Susan

Morning Guys & Gals..... Im up early this morning....I went to bed yesterday at 5pm and didn't get up till 5 am this morning!!!!! I guess I was more pooped out than I thought I was lol lol....I haven't slept for 12 hours in I don't know when!!! I have been so lazy feeling for the past week....Don't know if my B-12 shot aint holding out long enough or if I'm not getting enough protien and liquids...... My acid reflux seems to be bothering me alot...I guess cause it's the same ole acid reflux and now my stomach is smaller....And after I eat sometimes I am sooo uncomfortable for 30-60 min.....Untill I set and belch a million times....How in the world can you eat and not take in so much air....Sometimes I feel like I could have eaten more after I do all that belching...Guess things will adjust sooner or later.... Well I spent all day at Cape at the hosptial with my friend Paula....Thank God they didn't find any more problems or blockages when they done the angieagram(sp)!!!! And she didn't have to have any more stints put in....The doctor told her that her doctor was going to have to play with her blood pressure meds untill they could get it where it worked good for her to keep her blood pressure down better....Sometimes her blood pressure is as high as 240/130...Scares me to death....Her husband and I was talking yesterday while they had her in the back and we both think she might have already had a mild stroke.. She is such a hyper and outgoing person I just hate that she could end up slowed down or impared in some way!!  If yall will please pray they find a way to get and keep her blood pressure down for her!! I would appreciate it so very much.....Thanks. Jan....It sure sounds like you are doing really good at your job!!!! I know it must make you feel good to do so well!!!!  Can't wait to see the pics of your yard...I know with all the flowers and ponds and all you talk about it has to just beautiful!!!! As for diapers for the baby....Check online with the brand of diapers she likes to use and see if you can't sign her up for coupons....Im not sure how much they will be for but anything helps!! Janet....Girl I am soooooo sorry that things have been so crappy for you lately.....Sounds like you need a big ole body bandage!!!! Hope things get better with your washing situation...I know how laundry can load up on ya if you have that many in the house!!! And going to the laundry mat is such a pain and much more expensive!!!  And I think you are a wonderful daughter for standing up for you mother like that...I hope she got answers at her appt and they are going to do something for her soon!!! And I know Mel has not felt like being on a whole lot lately but I hope one of you will let me know something about how things went with her doctors appt!!!! I keep you both in my prayers daily....I wish there was more I could do to help out...I just hate that you both have had so much pain to deal with!!!! Susan....It was good to talk to you too!!!! It's always great to be able to talk to a friend and laugh your butts off!!!! I hope you are feeling better from over doing things the last time I talk to you!!!!! What day do you go to get your drain out??? That makes a big ole difference!  In 5 more days it will be 4 weeks since my surgery and my scares are really looking good!!! The tops two already almost look like old scares....The one where the drain was is still got some scabs but is looking good too.... From what I remembered the instructions were no tub baths or swimming for a month...This coming monday will make 4 weeks since surgery and Id love to go swimmng....Should I wait till I go back the 12th for my one month appt or do yall think it will be ok to get in the pool after monday???? I'm anxious to start getting in and exercising but I don't want to chance having any problems! Erin...Thanks for asking about me!!! I'm doing pretty good for the most....When I figure out whats making me feel so tired and get that under control I will be doing alot better....Hows things going for you??? I wish you the best of luck on finding a new job!!!!! Jan.... If you went to Target and they were out of an advertised special they should of given you rain checks for the amount tha you would of purchased.  That way, when the truck brought more in (after the sale was over OF COURSE ) you could of gone in at your leisure and purchased them.   I know that alot of us have been in these type of situations before and it is frustrating. Let me know what you find out about your pump.  The only thing that I can think of being wrong would not necessarily be a hole in the line but possibly a drip line issue where it is following the tubing (if that makes sense)... holes would make wet spots somewhere you would think.  All I know is that it IS hard to try to work out these issues sometimes.  Let me know though!  Wish I could come down and help you out....   I'm working at the bank today and then turning around and clocking in at Aussie Jack's within 30 minutes after locking the doors.  I will be closing there tonight so it will make for a long long day.  But I'm up for it!!... I did get a tickle out of the 10 acre thing...*g*... you silly goose... although that was kind of you to grant me more acreage....   Mike and I am doing pretty good on our eating plan... I'm down almost another lb. (not quite) and he was down a little OVER a lb.  We have the coolest scale that measures in .2 increments.  We are steadily working working working towards goal.. nothing going to deter us at all.... I agree about the issues with one bad nurse making a bad name for all of us...  I had a similiar situation at St. Alexius when I had my surgery.  I don't know what I would of done if my husband hadn't of been there.  It was just horrible.... but that is all behind me and hopefully they have gotten things ironed out and are doing much better with their current patients.  I know that I was incredibly glad to finally get home though after having surgery.  Which btw, it will be 3 years this upcoming September!! Well....gotta scoot and eat my eggies...and get my clothes layed out for tonight at Aussie's.  I switch from bank attire to jeans/t shirts and tennis shoes...  BIG CHANGE... Good Morning Jan and OH Peeps~

Well, we have Ms. Nutti joining us on the bench today-YAY.... Has anyone heard on how L. Ward did? I havent seen any posts and since I dont really know who it was-just wondering-I do pray for our members having surgery-and for a speedy recovery-so its nice to get in here and check on them!

I cant wait until we can bring Nutti to a meeting-she is FUN. She has a wonderful personality-and she is so very beautiful~ She has beautiful hair-an award winning smile-and just such a warm and loving personality-your gonna love her. I had the honor of meeting her mom and her daughter-and loved them too!! Please keep her in your prayers today. I will post when I hear something, ok?

Mel is at the hospital as I type this-she has a cat scan at 8 am today to find out what in the world is wrong. I was amazed-they ordered it yesterday after 3 and got it first thing this morning-and said she should be called right after lunch today. Man, I have been so scared for her! They have 2 different surgeons in mind-one in Columbia and one in Kansas City and the one in Columbia didnt want to see her until July 31, and Dr. Chandler said there is NO WAY she can wait that long and  thats why he ordered the cat scan-and he had to have done that on an emergency basis to get her in so quickly-it usually takes at the very least a week-most times two. Please keep her in your prayers as well. Mel is one of the toughest people I have ever met-and doesnt let pain stop her from doing things-its like we both say-IF its gonna hurt anyway-no matter what we do-we may as well be doing something, right? This time around-there was no doing ANYTHING and she moaned out in pain for days and days-couldnt stand up straight, couldnt sit comfortably, has had a hard time going to the bathroom and isnt able to eat-her tummy has been very upset and she keeps running a high temp-up to 103, she is on her 3rd round of antibiotics (not working) and her incision is still seeping and is getting packed daily by Terry and the pain meds no longer really work for her-and thats taking 2 at a time-and so on, and not sissy meds either-the big dogs, as we call them and then this lump showed up where your groin and crotch area are-and it was mushy and hurt all the time-Dr. Chandler didnt even want to mess with poking and touching it-he just ordered the cat scan. So-we dont have all that much longer to wait today and we will have some answers.

Aarons parents are NOT coming to the wedding-so they have asked Mel and Terry to stand in for them-so...my hope is that she is okay to at least go to the wedding because the kids just love them so much and I know they will feel like something is missing if they cant be there. At one point Megan said we may have to just postpone it until she feels better-who knows. Everything is so up in the air right now. My mom DID get her colonoscopy ordered. Thank God. From the bottom of my heart-I have been telling mom to get the doc to order that since January and the doc keeps telling her that there is NO WAY that her symptoms have anything to do with that test-and then does ultrasounds on this, pap smeers etc-and thats not what its been-they even went as far as to tell her that there was a possibility that the adrenal gland tumor they found could be cancer and thats what her symptoms were coming from. POO HUCKY. They sent her to a surgeon who told her that there was LESS than 1% chance of it being cancer and that he would check on it again in 6 months to see if its grown or not-said he doesnt want to mess with it-if they dont have to. So-we are just waiting, she will have the colonoscopy in about 2 weeks and this crud should be all over with. Jan, I have quit shopping at Target due to their little bait and switch crap! I think I go to that store maybe once a year-and only when my kids want to go-I actually went once ON a Sunday the morning the ad came out-to get Jon a car seat-and guess what? I was there at 10 am-and they were supposedly all sold out by then-I demanded that they give me a comparible car seat for the advertised price, because I knew that they were not stocked up-since the store had only been open for an hour-the manager wanted to give me a rain check-and I flat out told him that IF they didnt give me something else-they would lose my business-in which they did.   What kind of diapers do her kids use? I get coupons in the mail all the time-and I am more than happy to put them in the mail to you-for whatever-even wipes. Jonathan could only use Pampers cruisers-everything else would make him break out-so I really loved getting the coupons. Yes-you can go onto their site and sign up to be on their coupon mailing list-and I dont know if they have a Walmart by you-but they will ad match-so you may just go to Walmart next time and not even mess with Target. Is the little baby using baby foods/juices? I get coupons for those as well-so I could add them in for her. Which reminds me-I know she has a 2 yr old and a 9 mo old-is that right? What sex are they and what size do they wear? I have a TON of baby clothes still-in fact-a whole trailer (laid out on the trailer) of clothes-and I still have 3-4 boxes in my garage to go through and mark-and I bet I have some stuff in there for both kids-just send me the sizes-and what sex they are-because with like the onesies and such-a lot are white or yellow/green and so no matter what the baby is-they could wear it. I was thinking the older is a boy and baby a girl-but want to verify first. I will bring the stuff to the July meeting for you- Its already raining here like mad-I hope it doesnt rain there until you find out why that pump is leaking! Did anyone else see that just outside of Austin, TX-that they got 14 inches of rain in a 24 hr time span? Holy crap-and then we have so many states in drought and with wild fires-I dont remember the last time the weather was so wicked and weird all over, do you? Jan-Susan said something about IHOP-because Mel and I got on to her for going and having pancakes when she prob shouldnt have-when it was the very beginning of her liquid diet-and something happened where she wasnt able to be home and get what she needed and they went to IHOP-thats why she said that-LOL-I havent had a pancake in a year or more-and not sure I could eat one anyway-I think it would be 2 bites and thats it. I know they make SF syrup now-but I just dont crave them or yearn to try to have them.

I will write a note to Julia and get it sent off. If anyone has the zip code for Sedalia-please email it to me-I had them look it up at the post office for me and just wrote it on the card and sent it off-I didnt write it down in my address book....now I wish I would have-LOL...

Well, I could NOT sleep last night and I felt so utterly exhausted, really. Dang. I kept falling asleep on the couch on and off last night-and I am talking like 4-5-so it was early. I just couldnt keep my eyes open and then again this morning when I got up to have coffee with Mike-that stinks-thats for sure. I hate to feel tired and warn out when I have nothing to show for it. I guess I will see if this improves as things get better. My finger and foot dont hurt this morning-but my knee, back and tooth are still killing me. I cant find a dentist that charges less than $150 to pull it out. I wish we had a place here that had a sliding fee scale or something-thats just crazy!! I told Mike that I would call my ortho doc today if my knee didnt start to feel better~all I kept thinking was thank God I am lighter-cause I was able to get up on my own...but then was wondering if I had all the padding like I did before-if it wouldnt have hurt so bad-LOL....

**Susan-please dont over-do it with the traveling and all. I know you need to go to the funeral-but make sure that you sip the whole time-dont let that go-if you get dehydrated, it will make you miserable-and you sure dont need that, on top of everything else-right? Im thinking of you and the family-your in my prayers, I love you and Im sorry for your loss. Take care and if you need to talk-call me-ok?

**Tammy-Are you taking your Pepcid morning and night? I had to-and when it wasnt working-they told me to take 2 Prilosec each morning-and if that doesnt work-then they will write you out a RX-make sure and tell them about that when you go up so they can get that under control-that stinks to live with that each day-I know. The ulcer makes me feel funky too at times and I hate that feeling. On the eating-I had that happen to me at times too-and what I did-was take a bite (off a baby spoon) chew till it was like paste-and wait 2 minutes and take another bite. It did help-and I only had to do that for about a month or so-I never really burped or got that airry feeling when I ate like that-so try that. I hope it helps. It should help relieve that uncomfortable feeling right after eating. **Erin, honey-you must not remember this-but you did call me from the hospital and asked me for Susans last name and I spelled it out for you-cause you were gonna try and find her room. I laughed when I read your post-thinking you must have been out of it-LOL....And no-you didnt blow up my phone-I really dont talk when I am driving-ecspically this new land yacht I have now-too scared to take my hands off the 10 and 2 positions-LOL...and then 2 other times you called-we were in the pool, and I know if I use the phone IN the pool or when I am all wet-it will die and thats that-so Im sorry I missed ya a couple of times, but the step son did a good job of relaying the messages. At least I got to talk to you every time in the beginning of it all-I hope you do remember-LOL..Im sure the phone bill will show you that I DID talk to you-LOL...Love you girl-I am praying that you get your cute house AND that you get the job YOU want!! You will be an asset wherever you go-thats for sure. Janet- Yea I think I was a little out of it. I just asked my husband, he said I told him her last name but he couldn't  remember it. What's he good for huh?  No he's great!  No biggy really babe! I know you were busy!! Just wish I would of had Susans last name and figured out were she was staying. It's over now and nothing we can do.  I'm glad Susan is feeling better now and gets her drain out today. Love ya! Susan- I'm so jalouse you get your drain out today. I may of got my surgery first but you get your drain out first which may be even better. lol I'm praying for you and your family in this time of loss. Love ya! Tammy-I didn't experiance reflux before surgery but my husband does so I am taking my pepcide religously. I don't want to go through that. The pepcide is a little pricey though. I hope you get your under control I know that is no fun. And with healing parts that can't be good. Love ya! Rianne- Are you ready for your vacation yet?? Can I come lol. I can't wait to take a real vacation. Or just go to Branson for a long weekend. Maybe in September well get to go to the reunion in Branson and take a long weekend. Love ya! Hello    Just wanted to get on here for a sec. And say thanks for all the prayers. I went and had my CT-scan today. So hopefully they will be calling me today or Wed to let me know what is going on. Sorry I havent been around. But I just cant handle all that is happening. Please keep me in your prayers that they can find out whats wrong with me and get it fixed ASAP!!!!! Hey all!!  I hope it's a nice day in Missouri...it is a GORGEOUS day here in Arkansas!!
